Course Curriculum Overview :

This course provides job into food industry. Even industrial training were included in two years which helps you to get the job in future. Teaching methods are latest used here. Two sessional exams which are taken in September and December cover 50% of syllabus.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees structure here is as per Punjab university norms. In the first year I paid 16000 fees and in second and third year I paid 17000 respectively fees. There are no as such scholarship. Hostel fees is high here as compared to other colleges.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is awesome. When we entered college we were welcomed with freshers party and after three years farewell was given to us both in hostel as well as in college separately. Teej festival is celebrated in the month of August. There are DJ nights in hostel 3-4 times in a year. Halloween party is celebrated.

Admission :

I applied for government colleges and got seat in government college sector 42 in BSc. Microbiology but I wanted to go for some professional degree. Fees here was high than in government college but I took admission here only. Admission is done on the basis of 10+2 merit.

Faculty :

Faculties here are very nice and friendly too. They are intelligent and the way they teach is good. I liked our 2 teachers Vandana Sharma mam and Geeta Mehra mam who used to teach us. Yearly exams are conducted in the month of May June and sessional exams are conducted in the month of September and December.

Course Curriculum Overview:

They only had mycourse in this college of chandigarh and that is why i came here, learning it all i know i shouldnt have done this course rather tried to do something professional. Bachelors courses do not have much value as they do not provide any placements. The exams happen once in dec and the other one in may

Placement Experience:

During 5th semester you become eligible for campus placement drives, there are several companies that visits chandigarh university campus and you can fill forms for that on the basis of eligibility criteria they have and can appear for their drive that have steps such as test, GD, Personal interview. The average package in campus placements is 5 lakh Rs per annum. Highest package in Biotechnology department is around 12 lakh Rs per annum. Very few students opt for placement after graduation as most of the students plan to puruse a masters degree after that and several others were preparing for government exams. My plan after this degree is to pursue an Msc in biotechnology itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course offers great relevance to the practical based knowledge which is applicable in real life. The coursework is really comprehensive and easy to understand covering all the main topics relevant to your future career. This course offers three main subjects that are microbiology, food technology and general chemistry with minor subjects being Punjabi/ HCP in first year and English in second year. Third year is totally based on research.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course not only focuses on theoretical knowledge but on skill development also. Labs are scheduled daily. It's compulsory for each and every student to do atleast one month internship after 1st and 2nd year so that we get industry exposure, these internship are part of our syllabus. Then we have to do research in our 3rd year.so its great we get alot of exposure and by the time we get pass out from college we built a great CV.

They really work hard and try to put maximum efforts they can and as a teacher they also try to improve there teaching skills day by day Botany department faculty needs improvement, there are some teachers who focuses only on assignments and not on teaching
