Remarks :

Positive points are Eco friendly infrastructure, better placements, variety of courses and specializations are provided. Negative points are lack of management, fee rates are high, too much strictness.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There's a wide range of courses offered here in Chandigarh University. There are various specializations depends on what kind of course you choose. Exam structure is pretty simple. Internal exams are of 40 marks (MST 1 and 2) and external exams are of 60 marks (One final exam).

Placement Experience :

The placement record of Chandigarh University is exceptionally good as compared to other universities. Companies during placement drives here are Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Flip kart, Taj, Cognizant, HCL, HDFC, Reliance etc. Yes, they provide international internships and have affiliations with foreign universities.

College Events :

The events celebrated are Inter Youth College Festival, Freshers Party, Tashan Nites and other music festivals. Music artists and Bollywood celebrities often visit campus like Raftaar, Badshah, DJ Teri Meko, DJ Candice, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure of Chandigarh University is a bit expensive. It depends on what kind of course you choose. Bachelors like BBA, BCA, bsc have fees below 45,000 while as other courses like MBA, B.Tech have fees above or nearly 90,000.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, Chandigarh University provides scholarship schemes to students. You have clear exams for scholarship. And university also provides education loan to financially weak students. Scholarships and education loans are available.

Campus Life :

Some extracurricular activities are Group discussions, Academic events, Workshops, Sports competitions, Labs like communication labs, soft skills lab. They are pretty good and the staff and faculty members are supportive. And they encourage you to take part in such activities and events.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I have opted for Hostel. The hostel infrastructure is average but facilities are good. Few hostel facilities are free Wi-Fi, LAN, Bedrooms, Food, Reading rooms, and other sports activities as well.

External Expense : Rs.10000 - Rs.15000

Alumni/Alumna :

There is a option available on Chandigarh University website to check about the reviews of alumni students. Senior students are helpful. Juniors can ask questions or clear their doubts anytime they want. Seniors have formed a small group just to sort out problems of students.

Admission :

I had to apply online for admission. You have to pay 10,000 in advance as admission fee. You have apply online through CU admission portal, once you have registered online for admission you have to also upload your documents like Passing certificates, Adhar card, Birth certificate etc.

Faculty :

The faculty members of Chandigarh University are well and highly qualified in their respective fields. The staff and faculty members are very helpful and supportive. They have indepth knowledge of their subjects and help you as well as provide proper guidance.

Nice 3 years of life in GGDSD Chandigarh

Placement Experience:

Student sit in placement in 5 semester and many big companies come such as Deloitte, Wipro , tcs etc. but the major recruitment is from commerce department. The average package is 6-7 lakhs and highest goes upto 15 lakhs . Many students do not sit in placement as they opt for higher studies. I will also choose for mba .

About chandigarh university

Placement Experience:

Our college do provide placements but in the growning population and competition its already very hard to get a secured and well salaried job in any course. Obviously bachelors degree don't provide you a good job so my plans after this course is persuing a MBA degree. Highest package from our college is 28 lakh per annum in disney land hongkong.

Internships are available for all the students whether it's 1st year or any other. The highest package was I guess 7L p.a. and the lowest was 4L p.a. but from this year placements will be better as a placement cell has been developed called CATALYSTRA. My plan after getting the degree is MBA

Life at Sd College

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is pretty good. If you have interest in it you can do much better. This course helps you to face many real life problems as it prepares you for the future. The areas to improve will be that if you can use the data and knowledge you are gaining here, you should use that in practical way as the practical knowledge in college was not that good. The time period of exams will be 3hrs. They are not that difficult. If you are going to exam and you have read even the pointers or the important questions you can get the good marks from it.
