- They are very focused on placements, and also train the students for the same from 1st year itself. We have been taught aptitude and soft skills from 2nd sem to prepare for initial rounds of placements.
- The infrastructure is amazing, there is a lot of greenery in the campus, all the amenities are also available. The classes are air-conditioned and have projectors (obviously).

- The food quality in the mess is not up to the mark. Its usually okayish but often bad, my friends also got food poisoning because of it. There have been instances when students found insects in the food.
- Some teachers have been assigned subjects that they dont know anything about. So they are studying the subject with us only basically
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course has a specialization in AIML in association with IBM. The curriculum is pretty good compared to other universities. I talked to my friends who study in other private universities and the subject that they are studying now in 3rd year have already been taught to us in 2nd year. The subjects are relevant to the industry. However, i suggest that they can introduce some practical subjects too earlier, for example, web development, software development etc.
Internships Opportunities :
In my ongoing 5th semester, several companies like paypal and linkedin have already come for interenships and many students have been doing internships since their first year. The stipends offered by these companies are impressive, with some going up to 1lakh per month.
Placement Experience :
In CSE, companies start to come in 6th semester for campus placements (few companies also come in 5th). In my course around 70% students secure placements. The highest package offered last year was 52 LPA and the average package is 5LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies include Amazon, Cisco, Paypal, Virtusa, Deloitte, among others.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
When I took admission in 2022, the semester fees were 1,21,000, but they have increase since then. Additionally, there was an extra charge of 2,500 for examination fees. I receive a 50% merit-based scholarship. You can earn up to a 100% scholarship through the CUCET entrance exam. Various scholarships are available based on merit, entrance exams, competitive exams, sports and other criteria.
Campus Life :
The infrastructure and facilities are quite coomprehensive. the campus is wifi enabled, allowing students to work from almost anywhere. While students are expected to0 bring their own laptops for lab work, high- performance computers are available for projects that require them. The classrooms are air-conditioned with projectors. The campus also has a sports complex with facilities like a football ground, badminton courts, boxing rings, basketball courts etc. There is a Department for art and cultural activities, which students can join if interested and can participate in several programs. There is also a department of students' welfare where students can put up their issues. The best thing is that they take your issues seriously and work upon them.
Hostel Facilities :
The campus has five girls' hostels - Sukhna, Tagore, LC, Shivalik and Govind - and two large boys' hostels-NC and Zakir, each divided into multiple blocks. Having lived in the hostel for two years, I found that while the hostels themselves are not great, the food in the mess can be worse. The quality of food is inconsistent, sometimes okay but often bad, and in some cases, students have even experienced food poisoning. The rules in the hostels differ significantly for boys and girls. Girls are required to return to their hostels by 8:30 pm, after which attendance is taken. Any night-outs require parental permission, and while day-outs are allowed, girls nust return by 6pm, in the summer and 5pm in the winter. In contrast, boys have far fewer restrictions. While their attendance is also taken between 7:30 and 8:30 pm, they are allowed to stay out on campus all night and can even leave the campus after attendance without needing any special permissions.
Admission :
My last two options were UPES and CU, and got scholarships in both of these too. But the main reason i chose CU was that i was getting a 50% scholarship here compared to 25% in UPES. The admission process is pretty simple, and can be done online through the website. Giving the entrance exam is not necessary but it is recommended if you want to avail amazing scholarships.
Faculty :
The faculty members good and highly trained. Although some teachers are assigned subjects that they dont know much about, they still prepare the syllabus well and then teach us. You can approach the faculty members very easily for any issue or doubt. However, it is told that we shoud first consult our CR and they can take the issue to the faculty. We have 2 mid sem exams per semester of 20 marks each for each theory subject. The MSTs cover 1st and 2nd unit respectively. We also have practical MST between both the theory ones. Most of the students clear the exam, however, the students you couldn't clear or were detained in a subject (have less than 75% attendance) have to attend extra summer term and have to pay extra amount for each subject.
