  • Very tough exams and no guidance about subject
  • The assignments were too lengthy and were not easily available.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course was open so there was no obligation to go college daily and you can focus on other important works. The currick barely prepares us for real world applications or further academic pursuits. They should decrease the level of exams and assignments. The exams were conducted yearly and difficulty level was too high.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship opportunities should be searched by the students themselves. The companies only come at the time of campus placements. The stipend my fellow students got was around ?8000 per month average. The internship work was mainly clerical with no such major projects.

Placement Experience :

The Student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies that come to our college were Private banks, Tata group, Century paper mill etc. Highest package was of 7 lakh per annum and average package for those who were qualified was around 3 lakhs per annum. Around 25 percent of the total students and 80 percent of the Total students who appeared in placements got placement. I'm preparing for government exam, though I was selected as a loan manager in ICICI Bank.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The year wise fees was ?5700 And the fees for the whole course was ?17100 The yearly exam fees was ?200/subject so it was about ?1400 per year. There was not extra fees as it was an open college. The fees for ST/ST/OBC was comparatively low as compared to General category. No scholarships for UR category.

Campus Life :

No annual festivals were held. All the books related to every course the university offered were available in the library of our study centre. No technological provisions along the classroom as it was an open university. No sports and extracurricular activities offered on campus. No student-run social groups, clubs, or student portals, including their impact on student life.

Admission :

I got admission in nearby government college and Graphic era university. I choose this college because it is an open university and I don't need to go college daily. No, I didn't got any rejection from any colleges. The admission process is purely online. We just have to fill the admission form online and pay the fees, the roll number and ID card are generated instantly.

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio 1:40 Normally we don't get to know the name of faculty as we only go for exams and assignment submission as it is an open university college. The head of our study centre was Dr. Khan though. Our exams were yearly and they were tough for my course as compared to other colleges. It is very relevant.

Placement Experience:

There is low placement in our college. The students who are in 6th semester are eligible for placement. The companies visited in college are Wipro, Walmart, Mother Dairy, Deloitte and many other companies. And placement per cent is 90 percent. The highest package is 19.65 lakh and the average is 6 lakh. My plans after graduation is to prepare of government exam

Placement Experience:

College offers placements in the 3rd year. The placement cell of Kirori Mal College helps students getting placed in their dream companies. But their is no placement for the IT sector. Placement is for other courses like Bcom and others. Basically students prefer higher studies for good package because ug packages is not that up to mark. My plans is to get into higher studies and than get placed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The value of my course is very high even though it is difficult compared to different courses but has a good return though the teaching mechanism can be improved and the class rooms as well and level difficulty should be reduced as per standards

Admission:

I applied for the college by making an application online on the official website of the college. I was called for test and interview after clearing which I was granted the admission in the B.Sc program. Later on I was called to complete the formalities and submit the fees. I opted for the college as it is one of the popular fashion designing college in Delhi-NCR region. The college also has its branch in Mumbai.

Placement Experience:

Placement in our college is decent. The institute has tied up with various firms that offer good packages to the students. These firms also extend internship opportunities for the students. One can also look for off campus placement as many of our seniors have made into good firms on their own effort.
