- Faculty's are quite good, with good knowledge about concepts. Good only if you approach them with your problems otherwise they don't care.
- Campus life was good, meet good people from around the nation.
Dislikes
- Placement is not that great. few companies with less packages , only 1-2 provide good package but picks very few students.
- Infrasturcture is not that good , very small campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Teachers provide good knowledge about relevant technology , but you are in the driving seat and should try to learn more than just the college teaches. Curriculum is good , not too harsh not to easy . provide releveant knowledge for your course. exams are not that frequent practicals and midsem then again practicals and endsem comes. Easy in difficulty mostly previous year asked for basic knowledge check.
Placement Experience :
Placement are not that great till now not much companies have show up, most companies are for mass hiring providing a very low package, which does not make sense after spending so much on your degree. currently only 8-10 companies have arrived including , tech mahindra, cognizant, accenture, ltiMindtree etc. providing a package not more than 7 LPA. Highest package offered till now is 9 lpa by Infosys. My plan is to get a good placement after degree whether from on campus or off campus ( Just like other's :) )
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee structure is quite expensive, it is difficult to afford the expenses . The detailed fee structure as follows: Tution fees : Around 390000 Sports/Examination/Library : around 12000 Transport Fee : 3000 Insurance cover : 1000 So for the entire year it is around 400000. Which is quite expensive. It provides some concessions : army concession: 5% yearly concession : 10% half yearly concession: 5%
Campus Life :
college does not provide much for a wide range of sports , there are few event in cricket and basketball that occur frequently. but still there are not much to play . For fests and other parties, they have grafest which occur mostly once a year, which is good but a lot of crowd in college so gets a bit clumpsy. for technological facilities they are quite good, there are a lot of labs around the campus that you can access.
Admission :
Admission process is quite direct you can come and apply for admission. The managment hires based on both Competitive score and Board results. Minimum 75% criteria for boards are required. I wanted to a college in hilly area for peace of mind after jee, and i was a good fit at that time, i also applied to other privates like Chandigarh university, Thapar University. I did get a seat in them but as said i wanted a college in hilly region so choose this one.
Faculty :
Faculty is quite good only if you approach them with your problem otherwise they don't care much about your status. They will help you to their fullest if approached. Prof. Ashish Garg is one of the most reputated faculty, with his teaching style you might feel a bit harsh but overall is very helpful in long term. For examinations: 1 mid-sem , practicals and end-sem. Exams are not that difficult if you know the basics otherwise may feel like a burden. Almost everyone clears the exam just around 5-10% students dont make it.
Other Applied Colleges
Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)
