- I didn't like timing hours its pretty mismanaged
- The portal of website can be improved it's hard to navigate
Course Curriculum Overview :
Computer application is widely considered by students, since students who are coming from commerce or arts background can also choose this course, I am from commerce background so to pursue CS I had to select computer application which has a lot of opportunities in future Well the real world application are quite included in the course like application of AI and machine learning, so it will be helpful in future jobs, the curriculum can be improved by implementing more practical coding applications but overall it's good, and the exams are quite lengthy, the end semester exams are of 2 hours
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like vasudev IT and Bartermind offer internships to 2nd year students with an average stipend of 15,000 Projects like AI models and Machine learning algorithms are mostly done by final year students their task is to apply this models in day to day work to improve efficiency
Placement Experience :
Students who complete their 7th semester exams become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited were mostly local IT companies like Rigel networks and some big companies like Microsoft and Meta, the highest package was given by Google USA which was around 2.15 CR and there's almost 77% students who get placements after graduation, my plan is to start an startup after getting an degree
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The yearly fees is around 44,700 or you can pay in installment which is 22,350 per semester and i don't think they are gonna increase the fees anytime soon, the affordability is okay bc other courses at MSU Baroda are much more affordable
Campus Life :
Festivals celebrated are mostly Diwali, holi and makar Sankranti, although Navratri is also celebrated at our University which is in form of competition, Dilwali is held during October- November, holi is held in March, makar sankranti is celebrated in January, and navaratri is held in October The range an accessibility of journal and books is pretty good There are no such technological provisions in classroom Sports like cricket, badminton, tennis, basketball, and kabbadi are offered at campus There are 2-3 student leaders who run an social group specially for university students and they provide assistance and news related to any changes in policy, they are really helpful if a student is confused they can contact these student leaders to get help
Admission :
I applied to Parul University vadodara and Navrachna University for the same course i.e bachelors of computer application, I was confirmed by all Universities but I went for Maharaja sayajirao university because it was more affordable and the travel distance is also less I had to give an entrance test to get into maharaja sayajirao university, and the only other eligibility for admission was to have an clear record for HSC board and over 40% in HSC board, the overall experience during admission was good and easy the dean and other professor were there to guide us
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is great and the student relationships are also quite good, there's harmony for sure!!, i liked science faculty and commerce faculty more, the students are always supportive and even the other faculty members There are total 2 main exams i.e mid terms and end semesters, and then there are other exams such as viva, lab practical exams etc. the difficulty level is on difficult side, Mid terms are easy and they are quite helpful to cope up a good grades I didn't like the Arts faculty,not that the students are not helpful but the path to my science faculty goes through arts faculty and it's always chaos near arts faculty
