  • The administration is very slow and they will never give you your marksheet and stuff on time.
  • The exams are set in one week. You don't get preparatory leave within the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In BA psychology, the course offers specialization in one subject and there were options such a clinical, industrial, sports, counselling and educational psychology. For grant in aid programme, only clinical, Industrial and counseling psychology is available as options. For Higher Payment programme, all options were available. There is no difference in grant in aid and higher payment except for fees and specialization options. Teachers are same and classroom are same. And HPP exams are held in the department of psychology while Grant In aid exam are held in different departments as per subject.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Vadodara is not quite an expensive city. The complete cost was 1.5 lakhs for university fee. I was in HPP but GIA programmes are much affordable. They cost around 10-15k only. DSW and Sports Scholarships are available but don't know who gets them.

Campus Life :

There are many events organised within the university. Every department celebrate its own days such as bollywood days, signature days, etc. The departments hold inter department competitions and all. It fun and creative. There are various sports offered in the university. There are many workshops and seminars organized. Some are paid and some are open for all.

Hostel Facilities :

There are four hostels provides for girls. Each hall has its own mess, common room.etc. A common reading room is available for all the halls along with a central canteen. The quality of food is below average at mess. But outside options are quite affordable and reachable. There are competitions within the hostels and a nice environment is there. You have 4 person sharing room. However, in SD Hall, you get 2/3 person sharing room for Masters and PhD.

Admission :

The admission were on the basis of merit and now they are done through GCAS portal. The reservation are offered to category and sports persons. The detailed of the admission are available on the website and official social media handle of the university

Faculty :

The professors are every experienced and qualified. They are approachable and quote understanding. The mode of teaching is English majorly. But for better understanding of the concept Hindi and English are used simultaneously.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching methods are overall good but there are some faculties that just provide notes and leaves which should be changed. More explanation is needed and group projects and assignments should be provided in order to motivate team work. There should be presentation based projects so that public speaking of a student can enhance as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Psychology department or the Faculty of Education and Psychology is one of the unique and popular faculty of the university. It allows freedom and nurtures the students. There are frequent seminars and workshops which is more of an interdisciplinary approach for exposure and preparing the individuals for an all round development. The faculty has two exams - mid semester and end semester, which is 30+70. I suggest to attain the classes regularly or if not, be prepared as early as possible cause the exams are unpredictable.

Placement Experience:

Only last year's students are eligible for final pavement in our college companies like bk news, tv9 circle, Banas bank, and TCS. Only a few students are placed from on-campus recruitment around 20-25 percent of students get jobs through college campus placement. The highest package offered is 12 lakh per year and avg package is around 1 -1.5 lakh, my plan often starts my blog study in the mass communication sector.
