Dislikes

  • The faculty is very poor in terms of teaching ability and all the do is reading from the ppt. It's upto the students to learn from anywhere for the marks
  • There is absolutely zero social life in the college and it's mostly concentrated to the academic interests and no value given for fun.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is very updated and relevant as it helps the students to gather knowledge on what is necessary in the current age, both theoretically and practically to be employed in a company. There are 2 unit tests in a semester and then the semester exams.

Placement Experience :

The placements offered from the college are very good and the major companies that hire include all the big 4 companies- delloite, kpmg, EY and GT. The students are eligible to sit for the placements from the 5th semester and companies do give out pre- placement offers to students too if they have been doing internships there before getting placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am currently paying 200000 per year after receiving a reduction of 25000 per year as a scholarship from the university management. Above 95% - 50,000 Above 90%- 30,000 Above 85% - 15,000 The scholarship received from the college will be divided into the second and third year. We will hsve to pay the entire course fee for the first year.

Campus Life :

The overall campus life is very poor and mentally exhausting. There is no preference given to the student's enjoyment of life or to have fun. It's mostly concentrated to academics. The library is one of the best I've seen in my life. Has a great collection of books and other journals.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility provided by the college is very bad and needs to be changed. The hostel food is vegetarian and that too is very blant and bad. There have been frequently reported cases of finding cockroaches and hair strands in the food by my fellow hostelmates. The fees charged for the hostel is definitely not worth it.

Admission :

I choose this college because I wanted to study an integrated course of BCoM and US CPA, which was one of the major courses offered by this college. The placements and fees structure also paid an important role.

Faculty :

The quality of the faculty is very poor. Even though most of the teachers hold PhDs, but the lack in the very ability to connect with the students and teach properly. The faculty to student ratio would be probably 6:1 as in 1 teacher for 6 students

Placement Experience:

As am currently pursuing a course called ACCA. I have to write exams and there are other plans of doing MCom. After the 5th sem, the students get the chance to take part in campus placements. there are many multinational and regional companies that attend the fair so there is no problem of searching for jobs. companies like EY, KPMG, Standard Chartered etc attend the fair. The companies offer more than 30000 packages for the new placements. Multinationals almost offer more packages and there are other multinationals who offer less, the money is not the issue but the quality of experience that is being gained is what counts. The ones who clear the interview will get the placements. Almost 90% of the students get placements. My plan is to take up MCOM to get a double degree. And am currently doing ACCA along with BCOM.

Remarks:

My personal opinion about this college is that please do not opt for this college. You might be happy before getting into this college but later you will suffer a lot. Be very careful what your decision is.
