Remarks :
No there are no any negative comments on the college. But i would like to say only one negative about pdpu is that, some faculties are not proper, like they only have degrees but they don't knkw how to teach a student.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is similar to all the other types of college. They have different subjects at different semester for proper understanding of the subject. Exam structure is very simple, they take a mid semester exam of 50 marks and end semester exam of 100 marks. This marks get converted into 50 percentage and rest remaining 25 marks are internal marks which is completely on the hand of faculty.
Placement Experience :
They have very good placement opportunities. They also provide classes of Training and placement cell. Yes college provides internship jn the field you want. In 2 nd year there is a compulsory rural internship for every student.
College Events :
PDPU is best college for events. As here there are different clubs for different activities like RANG club for painting, colouring, etc. Here all events are organized by students. There are different teams which make this successful like logistics committee, publicity etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
PDPU is a very expensive college. I think they are taking fee according to their campus but not according to their teaching. If you are taking admission in pdpu and you are a hostelite than you may cost around 4-5 lakh rupees per year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
PDPU is offering all the scholarship which are provided by government. Except government scholarship, they are giving 50 % scholarship on tution fees. This scholarship is only for those students who are top 7 students in the 1st year of the college.
Campus Life :
There are many extracurricular activities in the college, there are seperate labs for all the subjects, they have workshops. There are also cricket ground, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court and they provide all equipments for this.
Hostel Facilities :
There is a PDPU hostel called UG. It's fee structure is 38000 for mess and 100000 for room. All the rooms are AC rooms. There is a compulsory mess for a pdpu hostelite student. There are other 2 hostels for students JMD and shree sai.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes they all are always ready to help juniors. They share their experience of pdpu. They always guide us tgat which way should we learn. They also provide us the necessary materials and previous year question papers.
Admission :
I got admission through my JEE main rank. In PDPU there is all india merit criteria for admission, in which you are selected on the basis of your AIR of JEE main marks. In the selection process there are 3-4 rounds. If u fill an admission form in PDPU they will give you a rank on the basis of JEE merit list. Than they will condut different rounds for selection process. The other way for the admission process is through ACPC, which is organized through government of Gujarat. In this 50% seats are reserved for the students studying in Gujarat. So if there are 120 seats for admission, then 60 seats will be filled by ACPC and other seats will be filled through all India Rank.
Faculty :
Many faculties have PhD degrees. But some faculties have knowledge but don't have the capability of making students understand that knowledge. And on the other side some faculty don't have higher degrees but they have super knowledge to make students understand.
