Fees of the government aided batch is very affordable.
Teaching staff has really good knowledge and are always supportive towards student's studies.

Placements are completely handeled by students and there is no involvement of any professor in inviting HR.
Very few companies arrive for the placements.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum covers the basic requirements for placements before the placements like DSA, java, C++, SQL, operating system. But still you need alot of practice which you have to do yourself. Theoretical portion is well teached but students face difficulties in practicals as we don't get much help there.

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 36000 per year

Placement Experience :

The placement process is began and ended only in third semester as forth semester is for internship. Mostly the companies from tricity visits here like edifecs, chicmic, inno8 etc. MCA students from PU Chandigarh, regional center (Hoshiarpur and Muktsar) students and MSC students sit together for the placements. The highest package from last year was 17 LPA and this year till date is 7.25 LPA. Average package is 4LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are two batches with different fees: 1. Government Aided: Rs. 36,000 [40 seats] 2. Self Funded: Rs 1,20,000 [60 seats] Admission will be on the basis of your rank and priority filled by you in the admission form.

Campus Life :

The campus life here is amazing on the basis of fests. Other than that a good number of seminars and workshops are organized by the department for the guidance. We also get opportunity to apply for hackathons and technical competitions of other colleges. There is no lack of opportunities for extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities :

It is a little difficult to get the hostel in PU. The hostels are okayish including rooms and food. But the fees is quiet affordable. The rooms are 2 seaters with two beds, two almiras and two tables. There are 10 girls hostel and 8 boys hostel. Alot of pgs are also available near the university, also you can get a room in hostel on the guest basis which have fees equivalent to pgs.

Hostel Fee : INR 7000 per year

Admission :

There is an enterance exam namely PUCET-PG for the admission. The difficulty level is moderate, it includes mathematics, english, logicl resoning. The admission will be 50-50 on the basis of ur rank in enterance exam and marks in bachelor's. Cut off depends upon the category you belongs to.

Faculty :

So there are two exams per semester, final exam and mid semester tests. The marks of mid semester tests are included in the final's assessment. The practicals are before theory exams and have separated marks out of 100 including practical exam and your assessment and presence in practical lab.

Freshers experience in CU

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester students are eligible for campus placements. Amazon Highest package is 35 lpa and average is 6 lpa. Around 40 to 60 percent of students are getting placement. Doing the job for the experience and later apply for abroad for a job.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is is okay but not that much related to other top universities. Avarage package may be 3-4 lk PA .There ar also some top companies visit here for placement also few students get jobs over there for high package such as 1 Cr but the number is so less 5/100. others get an average package .top companies visit are Amazon,Bandhan bank,Acmegrade and many more

Don't go if you seriously need a job.

Admission:

I was tricked by the false advertisements like 100% placements and stuff like that. It is not a good college an less than 50% students get placement but advertised as 100% placement. I saw an online advertisement which was very misleading. I recommend this college only if you want to enjoy not if you really need a job.

Placement Experience:

There are very high chances of placement if you have 60% minimum in 10th and 12th standard otherwise please do not join this college because students who do not have 60% in 10th and 12th are not allowed to sit in the placements. No matter how intelligent you are its just about the numbers and there is no focus on research or knowledge. Focus is always only on the numbers. The director of the college make relations with beautiful girls and those girls don't need to attend any classes but still are allowed to give exams. But a normal student can not sit in exam if she do not have 75% attendance of useless lectures.

Chandigarh University is the best private university in all over Punjab with NAAC A+ grade. Chandigarh University has the highest placements record in Limca Book of records. A very good atmosphere in the Hostel and every facility is provided.

A good college

Remarks:

Postive 1. Nice infrastructure 2. Nice faculty 3. Seniors are good enough to call them friends Homely feeling and i made some nice friends of other states here There is a lot to learn and university helps you at every stage Social life is good and they keep developing your personality and hidden talents Sports keep you fit and regulated 75% attendance is not good as other state students have to go home several time to it is almost impossible to keep 75%.
