Course Curriculum Overview :

The practicals helped in learning alot about how the medicines are made and how the chemical reactions take place. The experiments help us alot in working for industries and companies The area which needs improvement is the requirement of more well equipments in some lab The timing of exams is quite adjustable and the difficulty level is average

Internships Opportunities :

I didn't do any internships and did some projects in last semester under the mentorship of my professors The companies which offered internships in my department were sunpharm and parexel All students in their final year got projects

Placement Experience :

From the last semester students can get placed in companies and students of masters can get placed in the 2nd year The highest package last year for masters student was 8lakh per annum and avg package is 4 to 5lakh Almost 80% of the class gets places My plans after getting bpharm degree is to go for MBA

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee of our university is very decent as compared to othet universities. The complete cost of my education is 20000 per annum including examination fees There are many scholarships provided in university. The students of jammu and kashmir get free education and hostel The masters student get stipend of 12000 per month

Campus Life :

The university organises fest every year. All the political parties organise separate fests and star nights The A.C joshi library has access to all the required books. The departments also have separate libraries All the classes are provided with projectors Every year all the departments in university organise their own sports fests My department had no groups or clubs

Hostel Facilities :

I lived in international hostel which had ac facility and refrigerator along with attached washroom The meal quality is average and the breakfast included parantha egg bread and lunch had dal chawal and dinner had dal and sabzi along with chapati and rice I once rented a pg near university in sector 15 for 5600 per month

Admission :

The students can be admission in their desired courses through an entrance test conducted by Punjab university itself The application form can be found on official site of Punjab university The exam for UG is held mostly in the month of May And for pg courses, it is held in June The exam is not that difficult. The st sc category has separate seats in university and gets concessions for form fee

Faculty :

The professors of our university are highly skilled and qualified. Their teaching skills are also very good. They are understanding and always there to help students be it in career counselling or placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

•Pharmacy helps to make my future bright, so I choose this option. • Pharmacy helps in solving real life problems, student get job or self business in this curriculum. •Area for improvement - for passing examination students should score 50% marks , so I wish it should only 30%. Teacher should use smart borlard for teaching. •Final Exam is of 3hrs,Mst1 and MST 2 is of 1.5 hra

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!

Remarks:

Postive about the University is its infrastructure and facilities provided to the students. Negative are the rules, there are tons of the rules imposed over the student limiting them to feel the courtesy and pride in visiting the college every day. This prohibit the students to enjoy there college life.
