  • The time it takes to deliver study material is around 3-6 months and it waste many months of students
  • The availability of video classes from University is not there

Course Curriculum Overview :

The IGNOU course curriculum is comprehensive and relevant, especially for distance and open learning. Studying with IGNOU course can help in clearing your basics as well as detailed understanding of the topics. It is useful in preperation of government exams as well. The exams are conducted each year or every 6 months for different types of courses so the time to study and prepare is enough.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course I opted for was of 3 years. The fees for the first 2 years was same and was 3500 inr and for the 3rd year was 4000 inr. The registration fees varies between 300-500 for different courses. There was no other development fees , lab fees or anything else but there was exam fees of 200 per subject. The scholarship was available for female students but no such thing was available for male candidates. The fees of other students varies between 3000-5000 for different categories they opted. In some subjects there were some practical exam and fees for that was 100-150 per subject.

Campus Life :

Since it was a distance learning program we only go to college only 1-2 days a week and interact with teachers in only those period. The campus building of the study centre alloted to me was overall ok. There was library and science labs, playground and classrooms but there were no annual or technical festivals. There were no technological facilities provided within the class rooms. There were no social group or clubs in the college. The overall experience of the campus was only ok ok and nothing very pleasant and good. It was mainly focused on study and not on other cultural activities and extra curricular activities.

Admission :

I chose this college as I wanted to continue my study but at the same time wanted to help my father in the family business as the financial condition of the family was not very stable. I opted for distance learning so that I can support my family as well as continue my studies. I applied in this college only and no other colleges as it offers distance learning all over India with study centers available in each district of the country. The admission process is straightforward and not complicated at all. No entrance exams are there for admission in this college. In order to get admission in this college you have to simply register with all your correct information and your admission will be accepted in maximum cases.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is 35-40 students per teacher and teachers are very helpful and very approachable. I won't be naming any faculty but all the teachers very very helpful and understanding and has helped students very much in there education. There are 8 exams in each year in an year based course and four exams each semester in a semester based course. The level of exams is moderate to difficult. Most of the students cleared the exam with decent studies and only a couple of students failed, who can reappear in the exam next year. The course curriculum was the best and easy to understand. IGNOU has the most detailed and accurate and useful syllabus that has ever available. Studying with these books is very useful even outside the university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like my course because from the beginning I had to study Political Science under Bachelor of Arts. Also, this course is taught very well in the college but if some changes are made in it like language and selection of the right professor then it will be even better. Also, the exams in the college are held on time but the difficulty level is also different.

Remarks:

The environment of the college speaks for itself. The student body is one of its kind and the college management is satisfactory.

Admission:

The cut offs are generated after you have registered with DU. The process is a smooth process and less time consuming. Once your documents are verified you will be admitted to the college on that day itself. There is a gap of 45 days from the registration date to the date when the first cut off is released.

Placement Experience:

The job placements are very good at our College. Alumni batch of the college provides seminars for students every year in order to make children understand that why marks are less important than Knowledge. The exposure they provide to children so that they earn knowledge.

Remarks:

Our college had good staff members and very friendly and helpful alumni. the only exception is hostel facility due to which students have to struggle outside with cheap quality of food and residence. otherwise, everything is proper and suitable.
