Entrance Preview :

I got an outside state rank of 2600 in Orissa joint entrance examination the rich infrastructure and low fee structure compared to other colleges attracted me ,also it has had glorious past of brilliance and accomplishments.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum the college is affiliated to BPUT that is biju pattnaik university of technology and follows the syllabus followed by the university .

Internships Opportunities :

College internship in the name of Internship college will provide you a bonafide which may help you getting into internship no stipend is going to be offered .

Placement Experience :

I had a personal experience of Fake recruitment the college will expose you to startup companies but all being fake except a few the packages would lie between 1.4 - 3.2 lac / annum.

College Events :

There are 2 events organised in a year which will be dominated by the locals annual function tech fest1 annual function low budget,restricted participation and predefined awarding tech fest the fest is a method of sanctioning money from the management and celebrating hard.Mr R.K Mishra is the chairman of the college and is an NRI based in USA who has given this college to his family in india in order to earn their living and they organise n number of events for the money to be sanctioned by Mr chairman .

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is moderate lowest amongst the colleges of its time the college was innitiated in 1999 and is one amongst the older ones in the state.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

None you may get loans from banks if you have a good academic record the college will provide you with the required documents to apply for a loan i availed loan for my 3rd and 4th year ,purely on my +2 performance from a private bank but the college did help me with the documents.

Hostel Facilities :

East hostel was one of the grandest things associated with the colllege,with girls and boys hostel inside the campus the college becomes a park in the evening no matter how bad the food is,you will enjoy in the hostel also there is record 1 suicide/death

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

The college has a rich past of glorious works many seniors are into good places at present you can track them from college's facebook page there are seniors working for Bosch,Infosys,Igate ,Tech Mahindra but they all would be from 2013 batch or before.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
