The campus area and the infrastructure. Too many things to do in campus area which Includes top notch sports facilities and good green areas to walk.
The course is designed to give more exposure to practical knowledge rather on theory.

Dislikes

Very basic mess food as they have a private company contract named sudexo.
The campus restricts you moving out of your hostel after 8:30pm

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is designed itself by thapar as it is a deemed univeristy. The course is well designed and prepares you for your lab work. The labs are well equipped and well managed every subject has lab every week

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 440000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The internship opportunities is great for Cs students like many companies visit the campus for eg: jo morgan barcelys expeidia and do hire a good amount of student at good stipened. Coming to biotechnology no such core company comes.

Placement Experience :

The placement for biotechnology is average around 8lpa and for Cs field it goes upto 14lpa average and many companies visit for interviews and some famous companies like microsoft good do come for placement

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The starting fees was 195000 per sem and it increases 10 percent every year currently i am a third year stundent and paying 219000 per semester. There are many scholarships based upon your CGPA and some scholarships for low income families. Registration fees was 10000.

Campus Life :

The overall campus life is good. The campus is huge 250 acre .the hostel rooms are very good. There are around 45 societies currently running by students of thapar of various field like thapar adventure club

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel room are provided with ac. My room is a 2 bed room attached washroom shared between two rooms and laundery is free and gym is equipped with almost all equipment of high quality. There are camera on all the floors.

Hostel Fee : INR 55000 per year

Admission :

The NIRF ranking of thapar is good around 21 and many people suggested me to choose thapar as it has good placement ratio and the quality of facilities is impressive. The selection was based on neet marks and 12th cbse board marks .

Faculty :

There are many faculties in your department which ncludes assistant professors associate professors and professors. Professors are too good in their subject and are very helpful. We have one sessional10 marks mid semester test 30 marks end semester test 40 marks and lab evaluation

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for internship had placements. The companies which generally comes for placements are google, wipro, deloitte, Microsoft, HCL, TCS, LnT, Cisco, Infosys etc are some of the highest recruters in chitkara university.
