  • The time schedule may be too hectic for some students

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason i chose this course is because i wanted to persue acca. Christ offers this course with great faculty, business world experience, high level of training and better placements than any other college in bangalore.

Internships Opportunities :

Major companies like the BIG4, deloitt, reliance, indian institute of insurance, The Hindu etc. offer internships at Christ University. Internship for law students usually take place during thr month of november. Since this is my first year in the uni, im not aware of the prohects n outcomes.

Placement Experience :

From 5th semester, students are eligible for placements. Companies visited includes Accenture, Deloit, Reliance etc. The percentage of students getting selected is approximately 84 percent, which is higher than any other college/university in Bangalore.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The normal fees for indian students for my course is 298000. Since i am an NRI student, i have to pay 400300 per year. These amounts may increase or decrease in the future. Students also have the facility to avail fee concessions and other benefits. Scholarship opportunities(both govt. and private) are provided by the university.

Campus Life :

There are a lot of festivals and events in Christ. The main event is Ethnic Day, which is usually celebrated during the month of september, a hugee christmas celebration in december and various business fests conducted over the year. Christ university has a dedicated BLOOMBERG lab, which is highly sophisticated. Christ is the only university in south India to offer access to UG students to the Bloomberg Lab. There are a lot of student rhn clubs in the uni, contributing effectively to the development of each student.

Admission :

I appplied to kristhu jaynti college, and got a confirmed admission. But i chose christ because of the following bensfits. . Better placements . Better career advancement opportunities . Better faculty . Better campus (central) . Better facilities The admission process involves filling the application form, attending CUET (Christ University Entrance Test), then the interview on site/online, and then the results are sent via mail. The interview was pretty hard, the overall experience was great.

Faculty :

The faculty is very professional and supportive. All faculty members have phd in their respective subjects. They provide proper training for all sorts of exams. Prof. Vishal R. Is the best faculty for accountancy. Prof. Parthipan is the best faculty for business Prof. Divya Krishnan is the best for english The exam structure involves CIA 1, MID SEMS, CIA3 and END SEMS, details of which are provided on their website.

Placement Experience:

As am currently pursuing a course called ACCA. I have to write exams and there are other plans of doing MCom. After the 5th sem, the students get the chance to take part in campus placements. there are many multinational and regional companies that attend the fair so there is no problem of searching for jobs. companies like EY, KPMG, Standard Chartered etc attend the fair. The companies offer more than 30000 packages for the new placements. Multinationals almost offer more packages and there are other multinationals who offer less, the money is not the issue but the quality of experience that is being gained is what counts. The ones who clear the interview will get the placements. Almost 90% of the students get placements. My plan is to take up MCOM to get a double degree. And am currently doing ACCA along with BCOM.

Remarks:

My personal opinion about this college is that please do not opt for this college. You might be happy before getting into this college but later you will suffer a lot. Be very careful what your decision is.
