  • The new hostel for freshers are not well built. They have many issues like lift issues and water issues
  • Many classes have attendance criteria of 10% in grade which is bad

Course Curriculum Overview :

Very very relevant courses are being added to the specific fields. Like for example in material science and metallurgical engineering, we have a course called fundamentals of scientific computing over a course called introduction to programming. In fsc we learn python and in Ito we learn C. Fsc is more relevant to our department. So they keep updating syllabus like that

Internships Opportunities :

Jain street, Microsoft, apple, cognizant and other companies offer internships in our college. Last year on of the internships package was 54 lakhs for 2 months. And internships are not hard to get in our college. All branches have a decent percentage of internship opportunities

Placement Experience :

Campus placements are good in our college because it's an IIT and it's located in Hyderabad. Highest package last year was 90 lpa. Our internships are really good with an MNC duo getting 54 lakhs for 2 months at a company. Percentage of students placed is around 95 every year average is around 25 lpa

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Sem-1 Total one time fee at the time of registration- 17000 Tuition fee-100000 Examination fee, medical facility charges etc,- 11000 Hostel fee- 15000 Mess fees- 16576 Medical insurance-1888 For SC/ST/PH- tuition fee-0

Campus Life :

Campus life is great. Everyone is lively and want to create something big. There's many successful clubs in our campus. E-cell is very recognised among them. The process of getting into the clubs is hard and challenging but worth the exposure we receive. All the events are conducted by students. Infrastructure is top notch. We are getting the best of best technology in classes and labs and even in our hostels.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is amazing. We are given a double sharing room in first year and single room every year after that. Room is spacious. For first years 12 people use 1 washroom. 1 washroom contains 3 toilets, 2 bathroom, 2 sinks and 2 urinals. Hostel office is very lively and solves all issues instantaneously

Admission :

I chose this over all the nits and other Bangalore top colleges and bits Pilani group also. The reason is chose IITH is because this college has top notch quality education and also has the IIT tag. IITH is one of the top IITs in terms of technology and hence it drove me to choose this college. The admission process was simple. We had to verify our JEE advanced rank and our chosen course via josaa. Then we were allowed hostels and our documents were checked.

Faculty :

Most faculty members are very interested in teaching and also want to conduct their research successfully. We have a segment system so the number of exams depends on the credits of a course. The faculty are lenient in correction and in class also we like to listen to them. Papers are usually simple. Faculty are very approachable and invite you to their office. Faculty to student ratio is around 1:30. The grading can be relative or absolute depending on the faculty member.

The curriculum prepares real world students and applications for futher academic pursuits. They are perfect at that course curriculum teaching methods. the frequency and timings of exams along with perspective on difficult level is high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is rated as average . Because the relevance and comprehensiveness is not upto the level of students midset (like most of them). the curriculum and the speed of covering syllabus very fast which is not understandable for most of the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chosen computer science and engineering as my course. I enjoy coding and learning. This course gives the challenge to apply our ideas on real world applications. I choose skills over the marks because scoring only marks doesn't give a good placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course content provides sufficient exposure to required knowledge in the field though it is advisable to seek additional resources outside the course for better understanding. Coursework is not too hard and can be managed by the student.

Placement Experience:

Here, students can try for internships in the 3rd year. Some students who want to pursue higher education like MTech or MBA or PhD don't go for placements and internships. The placement rounds happen in the 4th year where many companies come to the campus, exams and interviews are conducted to shortlist students. For example, in my branch of civil engineering, the placement percentage last year was 50%, with the average package being around 14 lacs. Many companies come to the campus and the highest package last year was 90 lacs which was for a quant role. There are mostly companies coming for SDE and AI/ML roles. The number of companies coming for Consulting or product management roles is quite declining over the years. My plan is to try for placement in some Tech company, and work for some years then pursue a MBA.
