- College have nice infrastructure and you can roam around with good circle of friends.
- You can bunk any lecture you want but try to maintain atleast 70 percent attendance.
Dislikes
- There is no internship or job opportunities offered by college.
- You won't get much exposure to industries .
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is fine.But you have to study on your own if you really want to crack a job.Dont focus on the things teacher tell you and focus on the things the job require you to do.As soon as you understand this you are on a good path.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee for bca for each semester revolves around 26000 but it is slightly less around 25200 for even semester.So,for full 3 years of degree it would cost around 1,70,000 as total fees.Also they ask for examination fees of around 300 for each semester exams.Apart from this there is no other charges.If you opt for hostel it would cost around 17000 for a year without food.For food there is a fixed charge of 2100 but if you take any other thing like milk or chips it would be added and you have to pay mess bill at the end of 15th of each month.bsc,bcom and ba have fees around 13k for each semester.There is a government scholarship for students securing more than 75 percent marks in their 12 th of 10000 each year.
Campus Life :
For this segment the college is really developing year on year.Each year youth fest gets conducted for a group of colleges in chandigarh and it is one of the best things in chandigarh by far.During these fests you can socialise with people and take part in various activities
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is a little conjusted as 2 people have to live in a single room.You won't get any ac or and luxury items.But also you won't face any electricity shortage as it will be available 24/7.Apart from that food quality is average.The chapatis are too dry.Hostel is really a better option than pg as it is cheap.There are two hostels.1st one is present inside college itself for 1st year students and the other one for 2nd and 3rd year student that is in 15d
Admission :
For me I couldn't crack jee exam so I thought of going for bca because I was interested in computers.Compared to private colleges it is a better option and you have to pay less fees for the course and the work load is less too.You don't have to sit whole day writing assignments.
Faculty :
So there will be minimum 4 subjects in each semester.Some, subject will be theory based and some will be practicle based.For theory exams you have to obtain minimum of 23 marks out of 70 marks to pass an exam.for practicle based exam you will get marks from 50 and id you maintain your relationship with teacher she might give you good marks.Most of the faculty is good except a teacher or two.
