- The college has students from different regions, do erse environment. The girls to boys ratio is somewhere around 4:60
- The teachers are highly knowledgeable. They not only excel in subject matter but also encourage student participation
- The college is very spacious, it's called the green campus. The class are very well equipped with modern infrastructure
Dislikes
- The schedule is very hectic with assignments, exams, club activities and fests going on every month
- The downside is presence of groupism. Which is a bit hard to blend in
- Balancing social activities and academic activities can be a bit challenging.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum aligns well with ral time world, having prior work experience i found the content relevant. The teaching methods are solid and require no improvement the teachers are highly skilled, knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, the hectic schedule teaches you time management. Overall the curriculum prepares students well for the academic and professional pursuits.
Internships Opportunities
Interships opportunities in my college start from mid of 1st semester, students are required to complete a 3 months internship after their 2nd semester. The college ensure 100 percent intership placements with r Wide range of companies coming in for various roles marketing, HR, operations and fiance. Projects typically involve with real world tasks like Market research, business development, providing practical experience for valuable growth.
Placement Experience
Students at my college become eligible to sit in the campus placements from 3rd semester. A wide range of companies(big 4, BNY, Wipro ect) visit the campus for various roles. The highest package is somewhere around 20 lakhs and average package is somewhere around 10 lakhs. Nearly 97 percent of the students secure placements. After completing my MBA i plan to pursue my career in HR leveraging my prior work experience and secure a good position in the same field.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee for 2 year is 20 lakh, which is paid in 5 installments. This amount includes mess charges, hostel fee and tution fee. Youncan write cat, nmatvand ibsat to get into the college and students who score well in ibsat are eligible for scholarship of 2 lakhs. The fee structure remains consistent for all the students there are no reservations for SC/ ST.
Campus Life
The campus life and social life is vibrant with fests held every month offering opportunities for both fun and learning. The Library is extensive providing wide range of books journals making it easy for academic research . Classes are well equipped with ACs and smart board. I terms of extra curriculars the campus has swimming pool, basketball ground, tennis ground, cricket ground, football ground and an indoor stadium. There are around 27 student run clubs, covering various interests of none of them appeal to you, you can make your own club if you gather enough members.
Hostel Facilities
The MBA program is residential making it mandatory to say in the hostels. The hostel offers both single rooms with attached and common washroom and twin sharing rooms with attached and common washroom. While the rooms are decent. The food quality can be improved. Registration process for hostel takes place in the first day it self making it a smooth process.
Admission
I didn't apply to any other colleged since I was focused on OBS Hyderabad. The addmission process is straightforward. You can apply through CAT, NMAT and IBSAT with IBSAT offering a scholarship of two lakhs to the eligible students. After filling the admission form which costs around 1800 rupees selected candidates go through the GD ( group discussion) and PI ( personal interview) round. The college provides comprehensive support throughout the process.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:80, the professors are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. I personally likes dr Vishal Mishra who teaches business analytics. There isn't anyone you would particularly hate. The course structure includes three NCP's and one end term exam with in a time period of 3 and half months. The curriculum is relevant.
Interview Experience
Yes I faced both group discussion and personal interview round, the topics were based on general knowledge and current affairs. After clearing the written test the candidate undergo GD and PI round. In the PI round question range from your academic background and your career aspirations. I brushed upon my general knowledge and current affairs. I reviewed my personal experience you confidently answer the interview questions. The whole process was straight forward and smooth according to me.
