  • There is no president or college union here.
  • They do not provide hardcopies of any notes. We have to manage by our own.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As i have great interest in food- how to make it, how to eat it, when to eat, why we are having any food, what it contains.... everything about food. I am interested in making diets for others . I want to become a dietitian. That's why i choosen this course. The date sheet for exams is flexible to the students. If any student has issue regarding exams. It will be consider by the teachers.

Internships Opportunities :

For internship I went to a Multi Speciality hospital in Delhi as a dietitian for 6 months. My project was on Soybean in final semester. Once I went to Sirsa for internship in mentally retarded school for 3 months. There are seminars, lectures and conferences on different topics of nutrition.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is very low as compared to other Universities as it is government university. Fees for reserved category and general category has a minimum difference of Rs. 2k- 3k. My fees for first semester was Rs. 9000 including hostel and for the second semester it was Rs. 8500 including hostel. Overall, the fees is affordable for every category student.

Campus Life :

My overall experience was excellent. You will miss your college after passing out. There are many sports activities - indoor and outdoor. There are music classes, competitions- singing, dancing, debat, volleyball, basketball and many more. You can go for Inter agricultural University. At last, you can enhance your behaviour and personality here.

Hostel Facilities :

There is hostel facility in our university. Hostel should is 2k-3k. We have to pay this with college fees at the time of admission per semester. Then there will be mess charges which is 1500-2500 monthly. Mess charges are according to the no. of days you stay in hostel in a month. There is 70-80 Rs. for daily diet+ serving charges upto Rs. 250. There are single rooms and tri seaters. Single rooms for M.Sc and P.hd scholars.

Admission :

I got admission in GJU. But it was my dream to take admission in CCSHAU. So i took my admission in here. University helds entrance exam for admission every year. We have to score min 50 passing marks out of 100. Eligibility criteria- B.Sc Home Science

Faculty :

The relationship of a student and faculty is very good. We can share our problems with faculty and they have the solutions. Examination held per semester or we can say two times in a year. Marking is on the based of matter what you write in paper....not on the bases of no. of pages you write. Mostly students passes in the exams. Ratio of student to teacher is 10:1. The faculties of my department are excellent..... always supportive and kind to us. The workers of department sometimes being rude or non supportive. We celebrate every happiness in department separately. The course curriculum is relevant and not put burden on the students. Mainly all the classes held through slides or there are smart classes also.

Actually I was always interested in environment so I decided to take it. The curriculum is well designed as we have to study the all current situation of environment and their issues. Experiment part is not upto the mark The exam frequency is fast. But is not so difficult because everything comes inside the syllabus only.
