- The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
- The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.

- The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
- Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Course Curriculum Overview :
For the curriculum, it mostly matches the curriculum of other colleges or as approved by AICTE. There are also open and departmental electives. Overall, the curriculum is good, matching with your competitive exams. I had interest in human civilization and physics, so I choose Civil Engineering. My curriculum here prepares me for almost all the competitive exams like GATE, ESE, Govt. exams etc. Although the practical aspect isn't much elaborated in here. You have to rely on yourself to inspect sites and visit industrial area, since college isn't helping in that much nowadays. So this aspect should be improved and industrial visits should be more often, so to have a better understanding practically. Mid Semester Tests happen twice a semester, with a gap of 2 months inbetween and then there are final examinations at the end of semester that is after 6 months. Difficulty level is relatively easy and one can pass easily if he has good understanding.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are less here. Companies come here for 6 months internship, but they select few candidates only. So percentage is really down. One has to grind hard himself for any internship opportunities. Although with recession and all, this is obvious. But selected candidates get good experience with handsome stipend in hand. If you're selected, you will have a very good experience, but if you're not, you will have to manage yourself.
Placement Experience :
Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The per year fees is ?95000. It includes ?4000 as examination fees, ?70000 as tution fees, and the rest is student fund, development fund etc. One Time Registration fees upon admission is ?3000. Upon admission, you have to pay ?5000 as security money which is included in your first semester fees, which would be refundable at completion of your course. The additional document charges of ?500 is applicable in the last semester. Some students get Tution Fee Waiver on base of their JEE scores which waives their whole tution fees. Other than that, CM Scholarship is also available here, which halves your tuition fees. For SC students, they are eligible to apply for PM scholarship, so technically their whole fees is covered up by this scholarship.
Campus Life :
The college and university buildings are nice, with good architecture. Machines and equipment work fine, but they're old. Hostels need repair, but they are nice altogether. You will not face any problems in the hostel. The Annual fests here are Tarannum and Youth Fest, PTU, held around October and November. Library is vast and full of books. You can get almost all related books in library. Sports facilities are good, equipments are readily available and sports meet is also held every year. A major club of our college, the Student Literary Club, offers many competitive tasks and programs so to shape up students for society. Other clubs are minor and there is lack of participants and clubs.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are good and affordable. You get what you essentially paid for. In 1st and 2nd year, you get a triple sharing room. From 3rd year onwards, you get your own single room. Every room equipped with a table, chair, bed, cupboards and balcony. Any electrical faults are fixed quickly and efficiently. Mess menu is diverse and you get different items every day of week. Food taste and quality is okay, ultimately one gets bored of the mess food as he eats. Registration for hostel is very easy, can be done in hostel itself with help of manager and caretaker. Hostels are affordable comparatively and offers good living experience and memories.
Admission :
I didn't apply for other colleges. I chose this college as it was near my hometown and there were circumstances which prevented me from going too far from home. That's why, I chose this college. The admission process is simple. You need to have passed your senior secondary education in any central and state board. Exams accepted are JEE Mains and Board examinations. Most of the admissions here are based on counselling sessions, even after that, there is option of direct admission. Admission is quick and can be done by student himself also. Overall admission process is good.
Faculty :
The teacher to student ratio is around 1:30. Faculty is experienced and good. They know their fields well, and their academic performances verify it. It differs with different branches, but overall, there are senior teachers mostly who are generally good to interact with. For the curriculum, it mostly matches the curriculum of other colleges or as approved by AICTE. There are also open and departmental electives. Overall, the curriculum is good, matching with your competitive exams. Exams are taken very seriously here. There is strict UMC (from 1 year back) in case someone is caught with chits and devices. Exams are not too hard and are relatively easier than at other colleges. You will not have problems passing your course if you study enough. And the passing percentage is good, above 75% of students pass the exams.
