MAIMS is a mile ahead of others

  • The nearest metro station from our college is Rohini and that too is some 4 miles, so unless one has their own vehicle commuting becomes tough.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My dad is a lawyer and so are many in our family. I have grown up watching them and more than their influence on me, it was my personal decision to choos law as I know it's easy to make a career out of it. Improvement I want is we should be provided better moots opportunities like the once that are provided in NLUs. Apart from that our curriculum is completely up to date.

Placement Experience :

From 4th year, our CV is being sent to T&P department. As per our CV and internships experiences we are placed and students who have done internships in A tier firms like Khaitan, Tatva Legal, Trilegal are preferred above others. A&ZB and Khaitan have been top recruiting law firms from corporate companies like Hero Group, Maruti, and Bajaj Group have been hiring top students with an average package of 6-7LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees during the first year was 105000 and in my second year I paid the same but this year I had to pay 115000. So the fees increased by 10k this year and this fees was inclusive of all. For students from SC/ST or OBC background there is a deduction in fees and for some merit holders it's even less than 50% of the fees. From Beti Padhai, Beti Bachao, there are numerous scholarships and one just have to go to the respective section in the admin block and avail the scholarship form. Full it duly and scholarships will be availed at the earliest.

Campus Life :

NAVITAS which is National law fest is the biggest fest of our department and the other fest is Manthan Society fest. A campus which is spread in 10 acres has a 2 beautiful outfields one for cricket and the other one for football are absolutely lush green. Besides that too, we have basketball courts, volley ball courts and badminton courts. That's not all to cater students of MAIT and MAIMS, there are 5 canteens in all, inside the campus.

Admission :

VIPS and MAIMS, I just had these two colleges in my mind. I have CLAT but only if I would have made it to the top 5 NLUs, I would have left my city but since I couldn't, I joined the college where I always wanted to be. Yes, i couldn't make it make it to top NLUs as my rank was below 10k and also since I am from general category I was getting admissions in lesser known NLUs. CLAT score is considered in MAIMS too and my score was good enough to secure a seat for me here.

Faculty :

Law department has around 30 facilities for 700+ students. So for 20 or more students one faculty is assigned and law being a completely professional course, we are not defined to attend the college from 3rd year daily. We can show our internships commitments and are excused from attendance. For mid semester and finals which happens every semester we have to be compulsory attend and not more than 2 backlogs are allowed per semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The overall law course is good indeed the college provide limited infrastructure for your legal studies and also have its own legal services clinic but there is no exposure as such as no one visits the place. The teachers should be more experienced and by this the college ranking would be much more higher than it is right now. The frequency and timing of exams are somewhat similar to that of other colleges and is deriving its exam dates from the IPU main campus date sheet only.
