Dislikes

  • The student politics has degraded the mindset of the students.
  • The university, most of the times, is really dirty and the trees and plants are not maintained at regular intervals.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This course of BBA LLB(H.) is a really modern course and it deals with real life problems and its solutions. As we know, that the corporate field has substantially grown and the corporate field has to be in compliance to the legal field, therefore, this course is really suitable for the persons opting aur aiming for the corporate field. The person preparing for judiciary could also opt for this course as the success rate of our university in the exam of PCS(J) for respective states is really high. There are many practical trainings given to students including various Moot Court Competitions, Debate Competitions and Internships (to be done by students themselves). The teaching is a bit old school and could be improved and could be done more effectively through the use of technology along with education.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fees for our course, i.e., BBA LLB (H.) is ?60,000/semester, that means, ?1,20,000/year. This is the fixed fees. The other university fees are:- Admission Fee(chargeable only once at the time of admission):- ?1000 Examination Fee:- Rs.800/- Per Semester Industrial/ Study Tour Fee (wherever applicable) (chargeable only once at the time of admission):- On Actual Basis The fees is same for every category but there is an option of Zero Fees for the students of SC/ST category.

There are various seminars conducted by various departments and everyone is invited to participate and present their papers in the seminars. There are wide range of books in the central library and are easily accessible, both offline as well as online. Sports fests are conducted twice in a year and consists of various sports including Basketball, Badminton, Kho Kho, Football, Cricket, Kabaddi, Weightlifting, Table Tennis, etc.

Admission :

I personally opted for Pondicherry University, Jamia Milia Islamia, Lucknow University and BBAU, and luckily I got admission call from all the 4 universities. Initially, as the cutoff of BBAU was not released, I had already taken admission in Lucknow University but as BBAU was a Central University with a new and modern course and with really experienced faculties, I opted for BBAU and it is also close to my hometown (which was not the case with PU and JMI). The admission process for my university is mentioned as follows:- BBAU admits students on the basis of the number they obtain in the exam of Central University Entrance Test (CUET). The eligibility for my course if 50% of marks in 12th along with passing cuttoff marks of CUET for my course. The average cutoff for my course for students goes above 500 out of 800. There is no direct admission in our course and not even in any course in BBAU.

Faculty :

The faculty is highly qualified and well educated. They are master in their respective fields. In our course, there are 6 permanent faculties and 7 guest faculties. They all are really co-operative and helpful in nature. They all are very much easily approachable and are always dedicated to solve everyone's queries. There are 2 exams conducted, one being the Mid Semester exam of 10 marks and other being the End Semester exam of 70 marks. The rest 20 marks is equally divided between Assignment and Presentation. There are total 6 subjects in each semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was really very much interested in studying law and doing something good for society at large. Now, talking about the faculty of this college, then it's really nice and supportive along with great qualifications and practical experience. Student to faculty ratio is approximately 1:20 which is not very bad keeping in mind the sheer experience of faculty members. Term exams are conducted by Lucknow University as the college is affiliated to Lucknow University so it's totally the discretion of LU to take exams usually mid sems exams are conducted between Dec to Jan whereas end sems are conducted between July to August. The difficulty of exams is totally dependent on the paper setters of LU but they are not very tough if you studied well and for those who haven't studied well, it's the toughest.

Placement Experience:

Last year students are eligible for placements only. Top tier firms are available for standings, companies like Future Group, ICICI Bank, and such have made campus placements before. But as the college has been unaffiliated in the year 2018 placement companies have been diminished.

Remarks:

The only blot on my college's reputation is our dreadful administration. It is lazy and to a certain extent corrupt. They would come up with lame excuses when it came to their lack of work. The girls had really strict hostel timings while the boys had none. The administration looked at girls with a prejudiced eye. The college placements are another thing which needs improvement. Only a small percentage of our students secure placements through college which needs to improve.
