  • The college don't organise a lot of fests.
  • Since its a girls college it is more like a school..so don't fantasize abt the things that you see on Netflix movies.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum in the college prepares the student to reach new heights.Since being a 1st year student the teacher insist us on doing some or the other activities and this help the students be active during the college times.

Fees and Financial Aid :

This is Manpreet Kahlon, student of Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata.I am in my 1st year of college pursuing Bcom Honours and things are going pretty good. The college campus is huge and has alot of facilities like lift and library. The college and school are on the same campus. The teachers are friendly and they have great passion for teaching. We as students have a lot to learn about the college and the teachers. There are a lot of societies in the college like Sports society,Theatre society, Entrepreneurship society which help the students to take part in extra co-curriculums and the one they have internet in.The college provides many opportunities like E-cell which helps the students learn about the business things. The fee structure is also affordable and it also depends on the course one is pursuing. The course fee ranges from ?21000 to ?30000 max.The classes have air conditioners which help the students be cool during summers.Overall the college is great.

Campus Life :

The college doesn't organise a lot of fests but they have one annual function for the students named 'Shre'.The college celebrates foundation day and more such important events that are important for the college. The library here is huge and has a lot of books and it is impossible to go through all the books that they have. Each type of book is available. The classrooms are big enough to fit 200 students and the best part is that the classes have air conditioners. There is a mic in all the classes which help to keep the all the students focus. There are different types of clubs in the college like sports club , theatre clubs and Entrepreneurship club which gives a wide no. of opportunities to the students and there is no limit on the amount of students that can apply to the clubs.

Admission :

I applied to Delhi University because who doesn't..It has top colleges in it but as my cuet score was low I didn't get into one..I even applied to St Xaviers, Kolkata was i was not able to pass the cut off so I applied to Shri Shikshayatan College. The application process was easy. Everything was to be done online. On the day of document verification we were called to the college and everything went smoothly. The teachers had the best attitude towards the students.

Faculty :

The teachers are of great help here and the faculty overall is good..All the faculties are approachable. The exam system is hard you can say.Exams are meant to be hard and as a part of Calcutta University the exams conducted at the colleges are hard and challenging but that doesn't mean one can't pass the exams..It depends on how the student is prepared. It is a girls college so no boys are in the school which makes it good in a way that you have some freedom.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen my specific course (Bcom) because it is more of a comfortable course for me and it's easy for me to understand the course more easily and effectively. Although the curriculum is strong in commerce subject AI, Data analysis, Fintech. These types of emerging technology could also be enhanced. The frequency and timing of the exams are very friendly to students because they get a longer period of time to complete their syllabus and the difficulty level is pretty good as it comes under Calcutta University.

Placement Experience:

The college placements are low just like other colleges the might have chance if he /she scored good marks in every semester exams and have good skill in their streams .As I told before that I might do MBA after my B.com. The 30% to 40% students are placed by the college . The packages offered to students are between 45000 to 60000 per month.

I don't know about any specific curriculum about my college because don't go regularly. Improvements that can be made in teaching is making attendance compulsory, regular activities, etc. so that students find a way to get to college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was good some of the topics are related to real world but it was quite difficult to understand we have to do self study and analyse the topics for understanding it clearly. They should improve some parts of taxation and overall was good experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. I choose this course for my personal interest and also for practical knowledge about how commercial business works. 2. Over the days i can feel that The college department and curriculum wouldn't help you to grow. 3. Obviously the NEP programme need to be changed asap , cause there's so much subject which aren't related to commerce, like language paper and that ENVS subject. We are just like grabbing knowledge here and there but in reality I choose this course just for specific knowledge and research for accounts, but everything is opposite. 4. I can tell that the exam thing is the only thing i can agree with. The timeings are like not bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it provides a large number of job opportunities in future and it also helps to deal with real world applications. There are some courses which needs to be improved. Timing is enough for students and difficulty level increases as semester increases

Placement Experience:

On passing 5th semester, the students of Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration are eligible for campus placement offers. The campus reach out college during our sixth semester to interview us. After passing sixth semester we can proceed with the jobs in case we qualify. All the Big 4s viz EY, Deloitte, PwC and KPMG including with MNCs reach our college for campus placement opportunities. They definitely select students each year. The highest package offered till date is 10 lakhs with a associate profile. The average package is 3 laks. The percentage of students getting placement offer is between 5% to 10 %. My plan after the BCOM course is becoming a successful Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant.
