Dislikes

  • The most common dislike of the students about the university is mess food. Students dont find it good.
  • I think apart from the fees they are taking they should come of with more placement opportunities for the students. In our time only one company came for recruitment and selected only 21 students in which i was also a part.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is vast with more than 60 subjects students have to read in their 4 year course. Also agriculture itself is a vast sector so, teachers over there will make the course really interesting for the students to learn.

Internships Opportunities :

There is a most important internship which is KUS ( krushi unnat sahayogi ) in which students are enrolled in different blocks, districts of odisha and work under the Government of odisha. Stipend is also provided. It is basically for 2month. Another internship is agro industrial attachment which is for 1 month and generally no stipend is provided. Both the internship are in 4th year.

Placement Experience :

Campus placements for bsc agriculture students are very limited. Only 2-3 companies come for recruitment and selects 30-40 students out of 120 students with an annual package of 2.5 Lakhs per year. Which is fine

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Currently, the total tuition fees for the course is around 600000 rupees. For odd semester students pay 70000 , and for even semesters it is 77000. This is the only tuition fees structure for the course.

Campus Life :

There are many clubs in which students wre enrolled in to participate in different competitions and compete among each other or celebrate during the time of festivals. Even inter college competitions are there.

Admission :

Initially i applied for Sri Sri University and Soa University. But i chose Sri Sri University due to the less amout of fee stucture and also because of the beautiful campus and the cultural events that attracted to me.

Faculty :

There are more than 15 faculties for the course as the course is very vast. Each semester consist of not less than 9-10 subjects. The course of Bsc agriculture followed at Sri Sri University is under the guidlines of ICAR as the college has recently got the accreditation of ICAR. The teachers over here are really very knowledgeable and highly educated as well very friendly to the students. The exam system of the course includes two semesters in a year, with midterm and endterm marks included along with internal exams like viva voice , projects , assignments and presentations. Some of the names of the faculty which i really liked are Dhaval kunar dwivedi sir , Seema tripathy mam , Madhab kumar datta sir , and Sayoni bhowmick mam. There are total 8 semesters so , 16 exams are there. In 4th year there are no written exams, only practical exams will be conducted followed with internship and industry visit.

Interview Experience :

Yes, during the time of admission i faced a objective test consisting of basic questions of class 12th science and also i faced an interview in which they got me selected on the basis of the answers i gave to them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As India is a agricultural country most people depends on agriculture so I choose this course that I think it might have more scope. Through this course we covered both theory as well as practical,we plants crops prepare field ,apply manures to soil, irrigate the field. The difficulty is not too hard and there are about 4 exam in a year which is very good. In this course we must visit the village and interact with village people know their problems and try to find solutions. In our college we are less interactive with village farmers.

Placement Experience:

We become eligible for placement after 3yrs of college. the college provides various opportunities to participate in various internships and help to collect certificates which helps in good cv reports. After completing the course there are many opportunities available for agriculture students after bsc. So I will try for competitive jobs after my completion of my BSc.
