Firstly the campus is really awesome. It's about 328 acres campus area so you will have a lot to explore in these 4 years. The campus have every single amenities that you want whether it be entertainment related or Acads related.
The seniors of BITS Pilani are the one thing that you can't compare to any other college. Seniors here are very helpful and you can ask them any doubts related to academics or non academics

Dislikes

The washroom hygiene is not very good. The hostel buildings need maintainence. But you will cope up with this. Also the mess food is hygienic but the taste is not up to the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In terms of relevancy I will say the courses are 10/10 as the entire curriculum and books are followed of International Universities which gives a broad idea about industrial environment. There are practice school for 2nd and 3rd year students for getting the industrial exposure. Due to this curriculum, the BITSIAN (BITS students) get a great advantage for applying in any Foreign university for masters or PhD. There are lecture classes in which you are taught about the chapter and it's concepts are discussed. Then there are tutorial classes in which you can ask your doubts in various topics or questions related to the chapter. Teachers in usually teach on slides and sometimes use blackboard. The exams here test the in depth knowledge of the subject so the method of just memorizing doesn't work here.

Class Size : 1100Course Fees : INR 2800000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid :

Tuition Fees =259000 for first semester. (increasing year by year). (eg. The tuition fees for second year will be 272000, for third year it is 285500 and so on.) Summer term =90000 ( if you register for that) Student's Aid and Union fees=675 Hostel fees=20650 per semester Mess Fees+ Electricity Advances=10000 Other advances=12000 Students can get scholarship by performing well in the Midsems and Compre exams and maintaining a Good CGPA Under Institute's own merit award scheme Amount of scholarship are as follows: Top 2% Students: 100% of total tuition fee Next 1% Students: 50% of total tuition fee Under Institute's own merit-cum-need awards scheme Amount of scholarship are as follows: Top 5% Students: 100% of total tuition fee Next 2% Students: 50% of total tuition fee Next 5% Students: 25% of total tuition fee Next 10% Students: 10% of total tuition fee

Campus Life :

There are about 80 clubs in BITS pilani. The clubs don't require and prerequisites or so. The seniors in the clubs are very supportive and helpful you to get an insight of things even if you don't know anything about the club. There's a club named The Wall Street Club where you get the funding from college to invest in stock market and make profits. Then there's a club called Mime club where you can show you dramatic skillsnand acting skills. It's really fun to participate in these clubs as you socialise with people , learn leadership or group work which will in future help you in your JOB life too. The clubs in BITS Pilani will provide you the knowledge of stuffs in the best way possible. I would say that join the clubs but don't make your studies suffer because of devoting extra time to the clubs.

Admission :

First of all BITSAT is a very competitive exam. I got a good rank in JEE MAINS and Advanced and I was also getting IIT BHU Biotechnology but still I chose for BITS due to strong alumni network. ,BITS is comparable to top 6 IITs. The peer that you get here is totally going to make the 4 years of your college full of inculcating industrial skills and knowledge. Here there are many students who are discovering new skills and stuff. I would say that the peer of a person plays an important role in his/her life. There are many competitive programming clubs and competitions held like hackathon , etc. where the students of BITS Pilani compete.

Faculty :

Faculties can be approached by taking appointment from them through mail and then they will allot you a time to meet them on their chamber. There are about 10 faculties for each and every subject. So, choosing the professors according to your understanding is one of the biggest advantage of BITS Pilani. There will be suprise tests in tutorial classes , for which you have to study daily the notes and slide given in class. Then there will be Midsems and the final exam will be Comprehensive. The tests conducted may be OPEN BOOK or CLOSED BOOK. Also there is Workshop where students are taught about machine working in practical - Sheet metal , Smithy, CMCs ,etc. The exams are easy only if you study consistently. There are Labs conducted for Chemistry, Physics and Biology which are really very interesting (not boring and exhaustive like the ones conducted in schools)

Placement Experience:

Our college have 100 percent placement of that students who don't have any backlog.because there is demands of Textile engineerings. Companies that comes our college for engineers are Raymond,RSWM, VARDHMAN, SANGAM, NITIN,BSL, TRIDENT and so many more companies Highest pakage is offer by TRIDENT company to 3 students for 27 LPA pakage each student. 100 percent placement is in our college. My plan after getting degree is to got high paying job .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The classes are held offline in classrooms which are more fun and i can learn more rather than the online classes which mostly seem boring and i get learn very little from them due to the distractions. The frequency and the timing of exams is just perfect and the difficulty would be easy to moderate for an average student.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit in the placement drive from the 7th semester. There are various companies that visit campus during placements like microsoft, tcs ,infosys, au bank , amazon , accenture , autodesk, hp , muthoot finance , cognizant and many more total of 2008 offers were made last year and out of which 289 students were placed above 10 lakhs .
