- Beautiful green campus. Basic amenities such as library, dispensary, shops for daily - use products are present inside the campus only.
- Sports facilities - Cricket grounds (one is already in use, another one is about to get completed), basketball courts, lawn tennis courts, badminton courts, table tennis room, chess room, football and volleyball grounds.
Dislikes
- There is no indoor(closed) auditorium which can be also used for conducting big events. Meanwhile, an Open Air Theatre is there and the concerts are held there..
- You will find many clubs/societies here but only a few of them are active throughout the year.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our course content is very much relevant and the faculties try their best to keep up with the latest advancements in the technical world and educate us with the same. In today's technological world, everyday something new is being innovated and launched, so it is not easy at all to be updated with everything but our faculties try their best to stay updated. There are 2 examinations in each semester - 1 Mid semester exam (30% marks) and 1 End semester exam (50% marks). The difficulty level varies from easy-moderate but sometimes it can get hard as well. However I believe tthat those who have attended the classes regularly can get a good score easily.
Internships Opportunities :
Our college offers a summer internship programme (SIP) which lasts for 4-6 weeks and the minimum CGPA required for the same is 7. If I talk about the projects, the students have 1 minor project in 7th semester and 1 major project in the 8th semester.
Placement Experience :
Our college provides internship opportunities from third year and placements from 4th year. Average package of the 2024 batch (considering all UG branches) was 11.06LPA while the median package stood at 8LPA. My plan is to grab a good placement after completing my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees for the course is around 2.3-2.4 lakhs (including mess and hostel fees) per year if your family income > 5LPA. There are different fee structures for students having family income between 1LPA and 5 LPA and for students whose family income is less than 1LPA. The college offers numerous scholarships such as Bharti Airtel Scholarship programme (for first year students having annual family income < 8.5 lakhs), Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships, Swami Dayanand Scholarship etc.
Campus Life :
We have a pretty beautiful and green campus. Our college organizes 2 major fests - 1) The technical fest (SPHINX) which is held in the month of November. 2) The cultural fest (BLITZSCHLAG) which is held in February. If we talk about the library, you can find all sorts of books there. The books are easily accessible. We have modular classrooms with air-conditioning facilities. Every classroom is equipped with a projector which can be used by the faculties for teaching. You can find almost all the sports facilities here. Cricket, volleyball and football grounds, badminton, basketball and lawn tennis courts, table tennis and chess rooms, everything si available here. There are a number of clubs as well - the dance clubs, the drama club, robotics club and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
In the first year, you are given a triple sharing room. Everyone is provided with an almirah, a chair, a table and a bed (without mattress). Some hostel provides Wi-Fi facilities while some provide LAN facilities. The speed is good. Mess food also varies from hostel to hostel. The quality ranges from average to good. Hostel corridors and washrooms are regulary cleaned. The fees for hostel and mess is around 32000 per semester.
Admission :
During my JoSAA counselling, firstly I got IT in NIT Kurukshetra, which got upgraded to CSE in further rounds. After that, when I applied for CSAB counselling, I got VNIT Nagpur CSE and in the second round, I got AIDE in MNIT Jaipur. I believe there is a lot of scope in Artificial Intelligence in future and that is why I opted for this particular course in MNIT Jaipur. The exam you have to clear to get admission into NITs is the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
Faculty :
The faculties are highly qualified and contain a vast knowledge about their respective subjects. Some of them also have industry experience. In case of my course i.e. Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering, we have a class of 40 students. So, 1 professor for 40 students. Rest of the B.Tech programmes have around 100 students on an average which increases the faculty-student ratio. Some professors use slides for teaching while others opt for chalk and board method. I personally prefer the chalk and board method as I believe that's more interactive and that's why I like those faculties more who go with this teaching methodology. There are 2 examinations in a semester (1 mid - semester exam i.e. 30% marks, and 1 end - semester exam i.e. 50% marks). Rest 20 marks are internal and are awarded on the basis of quiz tests, tutorials and attendance. I believe whoever has attended the classes, can easily pass the exams. Course curriculum is pretty much relevant and keeps getting updated.
