Almost everything you need to know about *MIT-Manipal*

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is generally well settled. You almost cover every topic which is there in your brach. Generally in some of the subjects they have taken iit inspired syllabus. And for examinations they do not ask anything from outside which has been taught in class so exam difficulty level depends on the subject but generally it's not that hard if you have studied properly in your class

Internships Opportunities :

You get almost every company which comes for placements. Generally it's microsoft, Goldman Sachs, jp Morgan, cisco and many more they offers 90,000 to 1,80,000 stipend for 2 months summer internship. This is for computer and related branches. But other brach students can also give this intership interview if they are good in computer domain.some of this compnies allows other braches too.

Placement Experience :

From 5th semester you will star getting interships interview which might can or cannot convert in to pre placement offer. And from 7th semester you can actually sit for placements. Generally good companies visit our college such as Microsoft, BlackRock, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, TCS, Cisco and many more. Generally over 80-85% students get placed. Highest package goes to 50-60 lpa and avg package ranges from 10-15 lpa for computer related branches.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Year 1: 3,30,000/- Year 2 & 3: 5,09,000/- ( for computer and related branches and ece) Year 4: around 4,80,000/- There are a few scholarship plans but for that you need to maintain some kind of cgpa every semester

Campus Life :

We have two major festivals every year. One is tecnical called Tectatva which happens in September and all the technical clubs and student projects organises various events for students to take part in and there will be a few musical and stand up comedy types events And there's another event which is cultural called Revels which generally organises various games and events by cultural clubs of MiT which gets held in March every year. In this fest you'll get the best concerts and events of your life trust me on this Library is pretty big and you'll get all the material and books related to your brach in here. You'll have a pretty big place to sit there and study also. Within the classrooms you'll have a well conditioned ac, projectors and llfor live recorded lectures there will be cameras also. MIT has almost every sports happening here you can also join marena which is a playground for almost every sports but for that that we need to pay some extra money.

Admission :

I got addmission I'm to VIT as well as here but my reason for choosing mit was good infrastructures and well maintained curriculum and less compitition at the time of the placements as we have much smaller batches than other colleges. I tried in bits pilani as that was my first option but due to less marks in bitsat I couldn't get my desired branch there. So the closest environment was here at MIT. Addmission process to mit is you have to give met for the entrance test which is quite similar to jee and syllabus is also same. Cutoffs are high for computer branches but generally you will have s smooth addmission experience.

Faculty :

The faculty to students ratio will be around of 1:40. Which is quite good. Almost every faculty is approachable and always ready to help. There are 2 exams every semester 1 is called midsem which is for 30 marks and last one is endsem which is for 50 marks other 20 marks from total 100 comes from internals. Internals has 2 quizes for 5-5 marks which generally conducts online and other 10 marks can be project or some kind of problem.

Students are eligible to get placements from their 6th to 7th semester as whatever basic is needed by them to a company is embedded into them. Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Cisco, and many other companies visit our college and make many offers. The highest package in my course was 47 L.P.A previous year and average is 7 to 8 L.P.A. Almost all students get placed in our branch almost every year. I just wanna do a start-up after completion of my course and getting my degree.
