Course Curriculum Overview :
The aspect because of why I chose this course was the hands-on experience that I am getting in this course. The curriculum is also up to date with the current world. As I said it's according to what is happening in the real world. We study case studies and have marketing classes that teach us real-life applicable skills. I don't think of anything specific as such but they can increase more seats in the electives so that more people can get it easily. For specifically BMS the timetable changes with the semester. some semesters it's really hectic some a little bit less. It aslo depends on how many electives you choose.
Internships Opportunities :
I am 2nd year so I dont have much idea about the internships. I would be offered after this year. We have a TVL which is the Venture Lab. In the second year we have to build a startup from the scratch which is really exciting. we get funded by the university also.
Placement Experience :
The average CTC of BMS is 7.5 lakhs I guess. All the big companies like JP Morgan, Amazon, etc. visited. The students are eligible from the 4th year itself. My plan after getting the degree is to start something of my own or after taking a little bit of experience go abroad for further studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year-wise fees for BMS are around 4.5 lakhs including the laundry, mess, and accommodation changes. The amount can vary a little bit according to the room you choose. There is no category for lab fees for BMS. There are a few scholarships which include a merit-based scholarship- a 25% waiver on the fees, a Scholarship for candidates from Low-income households Income- a 100% waiver on tuition and hostel charges, a Sports Scholarship, a College Board India Scholarship, School Topper's Scholarship. For more details, you can visit the Shiv Nadar website.
Campus Life :
So the main fest of our college is the BREEZE. It is a 3-day event with so many events like DJ night and concerts. Other than that the sports fest known as the SURGE also happens and on the last day, there is a full DJ night. The library is vast and you would find numerous copies of the books you want, and also the journals. We have smartboards and charging points in the class. All the classes are fully air-conditioned. There are all the sports facilities available including horse riding. You will find for all the interests you have. we also have a club FETCH which is for the dogs on the campus.
Admission :
If I am honest when I saw the curriculum of my college I was hell-bent on taking admission here assuming I got it. They have a really flexible curriculum in which along with your major course you can have a minor and take electives. So I applied to this college and got in. I also little bit on the CUET exam but when I got into this college I didn't apply anywhere else. I know this was risky but it worked for me. I had applied very early in this college so I had the buffer of applying somewhere else if I didn't get it. I personally gave SNUSAT which is the entrance exam by SNU itself. Once you get selected you have to submit a form and then you have to clear an interview round. The exam is not that tough but you will have to study for it.
Faculty :
The faculty is really good here. They themselves tell about their schedule and the room they would be available. So the students can freely go to them whenever needed. Being a BMS students I will be little partial to my department teachers I guess. Our department teachers are knowledgable and some are chill too. There isn't a specific faculty i didnt like. Its just that some have more strict checking techniques than others so its tough to get marks in their course. In each semester you will have a mid term and a end term. Except that each course instructure decided whether the course would have relative grading, how many internal quizes would be there
