Likes

The environment here is very good,with worldclass facilities. The mess provides a good variety of food with good taste and hygiene.
SNU has a large well trained staff force who are available 24×7.

Dislikes

Its locaton is a little off from the main NCR region having less modes of transport to travel,though they provide university shuttles on weekends to Noida.
Ragging here is completely banned and no senior even dares to do so, but in my opinion some amount of ragging should be allowed as it enhances your bond with the seniors.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is recently updated and is almost with time except some things. Teachings are all ppt based and ppts are uploaded on blackboard,so no issues if u miss to make notes. I have not attended the exams yet so cannot comment.

Class Size : 241Course Fees : INR 450000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are on campus stipened internships also available in many fields,with approx 2/3k salary per week and you need to work 30/40 hours a week. All internship are handled by CDC,you can also take off campus internship, the university doesnt have any objections with that

Placement Experience :

From 3rd Year,they are open for internships and placement for which they have a seperate wing named CDC-Career Development Centre,many companies like adobe,goldmansach etc visit. Median package is 12LPA. Around 72% get placement because many opt for higher studies in foreign universities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearwise fees for B.Tech in CSE is 4.5L per annum. There's no reservation criteria as per my knowledge. U get scholarship if u have attained 95%+ in class 12 Boards. This is a pure residential campus and therefore the hostel fees is 1Lakh per semester and 1.08L per semester if you opt for an ac room. In total you need to pay 7Lakh per year and it increases by a margin of 10% every year.

Campus Life :

There are 55+ clubs in campus,and you can join any club as per your wish by giving interviews. The annual fest which is held is named as breeze and many more events are on going every time. Sports are promoted too much in SNU,they have their own indoor sports complex,football fields,cricket fields, golf,horse riding,basketball etc and coaches available in each sport.

Hostel Facilities :

They charge 1L per semester for Non A/C and 1.08L for A/C room. Meal quality and menu is fabulous with different variety each day. All facilities like laundry,room cleaning, every essential like carpenter, electrician, plumber are available. Renting PGs and rooms outside campus is not allowed as it is a pure residential campus.

Hostel Fee : INR 200000 per year

Admission :

I got admission in SNU through SNUSAT exam, I also got admission in VIT Chennai CSE,Siddhaganga CSE but opted for SNU as i reside in Gurgaon and its nearby and its placement average is also good with good facilities.

Faculty :

The faculties here are much approachable as they reside in the same campus in which you stay and always ready to help you. Ajit Kumar Sir of Maths is very good,he is jolly in nature and makes the subject well understandable. I personally didnt like our physics faculty Binson Babu because of his accent and I find it very difficult to understand his teachings. 2 exams are held every semester, one mid sem and one end sem,and 2 to 3 quizzes depending on your subject. It is compulsory to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance.

The Campus life

Placement Experience:

Placement of the college is decent highest package was 30 lac per annum and average is 6-7 lac per annum....From 6th semester u are eligible for the campus placements.... companies that visited are- IBM, TCS,etc I just don't remember now there are many... percent of students getting placements are near about 80% i guess

Placement Experience:

The placement is very good in my college. From the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Mahindra etc do visit my college. Best college for developing startup skills

Remarks:

The best part of this college is that it has an incubation centre which is governed by the DST government of India to promote new innovative ideas and mould the incubator to start there startup and became an entrepreneur.

Admission:

I always want to become a mechanical engineer because innovation and technology attracts me. Awesome college

Entrance Preview:

I took entrance examination of UPTU and scored 4500 rank. I chose this college as I was getting Computer science branch in this college. Moreover many of my school time scenarios were in this college and gave fabulous feedback which at last proved to be true.
