Course Curriculum Overview :

If you are preparing for competitive exam then this course is best and scoring but our universities don't award high marks. even many students fail. it can't said that job is not available. you need to start internship early, you can gain experience, explore market and try to find you potential area of interest and secure good packages.

Internships Opportunities :

you can ask for intership opportunities available in college to head of department or you can timely check college website, they update it as per requirement. In addition, HOD will update in groups if any opportunities available you need to be active and apply for it on time. You can apply for many CA firms or government programs or other companies like Motilal Oswal financial service etc. they give roles like sale manager, human resource, accountant at the begining. In ca firms, you may learn how to file return, how to use excel in corporate world, how to use tally, how to invest in market, how to deal with clients and many more things.

Placement Experience :

our college shri shikshayatan provides many placement opportunities. you need to be active in whatsapp group or email. many big firm like TATA, deloitte, hdfc bank, icici bank, some ca firms come to our college for placement. they take some exam and interviews for job. they provide approx rs.3,00,000 package. you should do intership with studies or at least take part in NSS or LTS type social work which help to build networing. If no campus placement then your previous experience will help to get job or you go for MBA that accelerate your career

Fees and Financial Aid :

fees is little high for lower middle class family but you can apply for scholarships and student credit card facilities. there are many schoarships programs in collges, like SVMCM scholarship, scholarship from govt. of west bengal and central scholarship, you can apply (even I applies for it and got some money).

Campus Life :

College life is generally good. socially you get opportunities to meet with many types of people through college clubs. involvement in club encourages you to be active or motivate you to take part in many things which automatically increase you communication skill and help in personal development. The infrastructure is good. All classroom have air conditioning. you can take photos in many area. unfortunately, phone is not allowed as per rules but you can use it in campus but not in class. If you make good friends life will be easy and you can enjoy more even in a bad mood or situation. My recommendation is at least make a good friends.

Admission :

Admission process is easy. you can apply it . cut off is based on class 12th marks. It is little difficult to get admission in morning batch but you can apply for evening as well. Document verification is done online after covid. some of my friend faced issues with document verification, don't panic. you can manage it if your documents are properly prepared and self- attested.

Faculty :

the faculty is helpful and you don't need tuition if you attend classes regularly. they give proper time to address you doubts related to subject and guide you related to career. they are good in nature. they explain things easy to understand manner. you can connect with faculty during or after class, and even through email.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen my specific course (Bcom) because it is more of a comfortable course for me and it's easy for me to understand the course more easily and effectively. Although the curriculum is strong in commerce subject AI, Data analysis, Fintech. These types of emerging technology could also be enhanced. The frequency and timing of the exams are very friendly to students because they get a longer period of time to complete their syllabus and the difficulty level is pretty good as it comes under Calcutta University.

Placement Experience:

The college placements are low just like other colleges the might have chance if he /she scored good marks in every semester exams and have good skill in their streams .As I told before that I might do MBA after my B.com. The 30% to 40% students are placed by the college . The packages offered to students are between 45000 to 60000 per month.

The course curriculum was good some of the topics are related to real world but it was quite difficult to understand we have to do self study and analyse the topics for understanding it clearly. They should improve some parts of taxation and overall was good experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it provides a large number of job opportunities in future and it also helps to deal with real world applications. There are some courses which needs to be improved. Timing is enough for students and difficulty level increases as semester increases

Placement Experience:

On passing 5th semester, the students of Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration are eligible for campus placement offers. The campus reach out college during our sixth semester to interview us. After passing sixth semester we can proceed with the jobs in case we qualify. All the Big 4s viz EY, Deloitte, PwC and KPMG including with MNCs reach our college for campus placement opportunities. They definitely select students each year. The highest package offered till date is 10 lakhs with a associate profile. The average package is 3 laks. The percentage of students getting placement offer is between 5% to 10 %. My plan after the BCOM course is becoming a successful Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant.
