My University experience : A student's perspective

As being from physics field lab equipments are a major concern and most of the colleges do not provide lab periods but in GNDU all the experiments are done under the eye of lab assistant. Many costly equipmens are there like Raman Effect which costs around 90 Lakhs is also available in the physics lab so that students can have a look at it and can perform required experiments also.

There are many scholarships provided by the University like for single girl child, poor students and sports students also. No hidden fees is there, cost of courses vary itself. Complete cost of my course was around 45,000/- yr including tuition fees and services fees excluding hostel charges.

There are many clubs available for the students to take part in such as music club, dance club , environment club and many more. Every Wednesday evening there is an event that takes place as the name of MEHFIL any student can take participate in it . It can be singing, dancing, comedy, mimicry and lots more. For singing bands are available which is so much fun to take part in. Many other festivals like Diwali Fest, Youth fest also takes place where different colleges students take part in. Overall students who join this university have a lot of things to take part in and study as well.

Hostel fees are way less as compared to the rented apartments that's why opt for the hostel as the facilities here are better than the flats and Pg's. The hostel food is average. The hostel has a study room for students where they can study in which AC works 24*7. The hostel has a stationary shop as well. The canteens are well-facilitated. The hostel is affordable.

Eligibility criteria for my course was by giving a test then the rank wise list of students was declared. In my course 60 seats were there in total out of which approx. 40 seats were for general category and rest were for SC/BC or other disability students. Special discount is provided for Reservation students on admission form and course fees as well. Admission process is kind of exhausting for

The professors here are very well educated and are very cooperative. They help students one on one also if any student is having any doubt. Most teachers here are post doctoral which is why students enjoy coming to class.
