Remarks :

The college overall is very good if you want to take admission

Entrance Preview :

I stay in goa.. Only one medical college in goa so no choice really.. Coming to the pro and the cons... The faculty is not that great. You are on your own though some departments are really well organised. The pg stipend is more than most other states. Working hours are hectic

Course Curriculum Overview :

The mbbs curriculum is in accordance to the mci guidelines. Classes are taken in detail. 75 percent attendance is necessary and some departments are very strict regarding that. The lecture halls are good and spacious. Most of the topics are covered in class and usually comes for exams

Internships Opportunities :

Yes. College provides internship. Stipend is 20000 per month. Higher than many states. The overall experience is that it is hectic in some depts night duties are hectic. Some dept are very chilled. Get to learn a lot

Placement Experience :

Placement and job opportunities don't apply directly for mbbs. You need to clear pg entrance to get into pg. Or after mbbs u can just apply for some cmo posts and also do short posts depending on your marks. Also there is a bond so you get paid for working in the state

College Events :

Not many events are celebrated barring the national days. Saraswati Pooja happens in teh library. College event is gomecon. Which takes place every year in 5 star hotels. Then we have a yearly event like plexus or genesis. Hostel opening parties are fun. There is a medical ball happening every year

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Very very feasible. The semester fees are just 25 k for every semester. Too less for a medical college. Pg fees were 16 k now hiked to 50 k per semester. Overall more affordable than any other govt college. The fees have to be paid every semester in the dd format. The academic section and cash section people have a lot of attitude

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No. But scholarships are given to the one coming first i class. The topper of final year got around 70 k

Campus Life :

Campus life rocks. Although not as much as metro cities. Nescafe is a hangout spot where you will see doctors hanging out chatting sipping coffee. Another place is outside the library. The library is a good place to study. Nice interiors and books available. Labs are good

Alumni/Alumna :

Senior students are like bros. No ragging goes on in this college. Atleast not in girls hostel and in guys it is a fun way if at all

Exam Structure :

Exam structure is good. There are viva and tests after completion of every system. There are semester exams. Final exams have theory and practicals. Theory consists of short notes and long notes. The marks will depend on the subject. Practicals are clinical case oriented and some spots are kelt

Faculty :

Some faculty is really good and want the best from their students. Dept like physiology and anatomy take tutorials and viva every week or so. Pharmac faculty is good and so is microbio. Final year nobody teaches that much. It is more of clinical. But clinical teaching is very good as many patients are there

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is competency-based. The lecture schedule includes interactive sessions, practicals, clinical and group discussions. The learning process includes clinical experiences, problem oriented approach, case studies and community health care activities. Areas that could be improved include the implementation of small group discussions. Journal and logbooks should be given less significance. Interactions during the discussions should be given significance. Tests are conducted periodically and the timings are practical. The difficulty level of exams is easy to moderate level. The examination includes questions of clinical and practical relevance and not just theoretical knowledge.

Very good college with good faculty and lots of exposure due to high number of patients, both coming to outpatient department as well as those getting admitted for treatment or surgery. Life in the hostel is pretty chill. During exams it gets a bit hectic
