- The campus is well equipped with Modern amenities like gym , recreation areas for student and well maintained night canteen .
- Seniors are well supportive , student mentor guide you through the necessary decisions during your college life , thus making your college life a cakewalk .
Dislikes
- Some of the college events have been very nice and engaging but others are quite boring .
- All clubs are nice ,ivlabs(robotics club), octaves (music club) to name a few . But not all of them are active .
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is well equipped with latest methodologies ensuring that student gains entire knowledge necessary for the industry, which made me to choose this course . Although I would suggest some courses in the first year are not needed at all like social science , mechanical wirkshop . Evaluations includes mid semester examination and an end semester examination . Quizes are also a part of evaluation although their frequency entirely depends upon the course coordinator and is not fixed. Entire paper is based on the notes of proffesor so if you have attended the lectures well, you will find paper level easy .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am currently the junior prefect of boys hostel for first year . My basic responsibility is to make the students well aware of the rules and regulations especially within the hostel area . I am baaically a bridge between the hostel management and the students. I am awarded a free room within the same first year hostel in addition to a stipend of 5000 per month.
Campus Life :
First cultnite( just after admission), freshers event (starting of September ) , department gathering (October ), intramurals (for first year ), institute gathering are events to name some . There is a huge library with modern computer lab. The library has enough resources from pyq to all required books for the course . A dedicated sports complex is present which satisfies the needs of sporty people . Various sports event are also held . There is a social group "Prayaas " aimed at helping the needy. There are also handful of clubs from technical to cultural category . They play an important role in developing the student's leadership qualities , their values .
Hostel Facilities :
First year hostel have currently rooms shared by two. Each room has a study table , bed and storage space along with high speed ethernet facility. Just for second year onwards you get a seperate room .Mess menu keeps changing on a monthly basis . Overall mess food quality is average. Hostel registration process is simple and student are guided thoroughly during institue reporting. Hostel are quite affordable too.
Admission :
Admission to the course occurs through JEE mains examination. Applicants who have qualified jee mains with appropriate rank can take admission to the institute. Application forms , fees and dates are released by the college on their official website during JOSAA counselling . Basically , opening rank is around 5k and closing rank is around 20-30k for the institute . Admission process is well organised and concerned authorities guides the student well through the process. There are two exams one mid semester examination and another end semester examination in one semester . Exam is entirely based on syllabus taught by the lecturer , and difficulty level is moderate .
Faculty :
Faculty are well qualified. First year faculty are specially nice and they make sure there students get well equipped with the curriculum . One important point is that after the end of every semester there is feedback form filling for every individual faculty so that student can raise any issues suffered during the course and can rate their experience with the faculty. Roughly there are 120 students in each department in our college . The entire batch of 120 student is divided into two sections and seperate faculty are assigned for each section . So you can take the faculty to student ratio as 1:60. Faculty here have qualified for their degrees from prestigious institutes like this. Faculty here allow open interactions and encourage the student for any doubt discussion , or any support for the course .
