Review of Umesh Chandra College

The Bachelors of Commerce Degree both ( Honours and General) is awarded by University of Calcutta after the completion of three years. During this course the examination is held in parts. Semester I , Semester II , Semester III , Semester IV , Semester V , Semester VI. This curriculum attracted my attention for applying in this college. Exams are held in the college and timings are very reasonable for the students.

It is the scholarship provided by the college authority to the economically backward students. The scholarship is provided strictly to the student who are economically poor. The students are required to provide the proper validations of their claim. The students are requested to contact the office of the college for further information. Thus the placement opportunities are decent in my college.

As I mentioned earlier, this college provides cost efficient environment for the students as it is easily affordable for the middle class families. Fees structure is very simple for my course, it's about ?6000 per year for 3 years. My college also provides tons of interest and scholarships for the students.

Every my college library celebrates the librarians day on the occasion of the birthday of S.R Ranganathan (Father of library Science). On that day, students are given best library user award to motivate them for using the library and its services. It has been started since 2017. The Puja Sankhya (Magzine) lottery programming held among the teaching and non-teaching staff members every year in college library before the puja vacation.

It is the aim of the college to promote the course of education in the highest and widest sense to make education comprehending the training of the mind, heart and body founded on a theistic basis conducive to the good of man and the glory of god. Thus eligibility for the admission in this college is very convincing.

As i mentioned earlier, my college provides cutting edge mentorship and faculty expertise on academic relations but lacks in discipline management. Disciplinary actions taken by the management are very lineant. Thus it allows bullying and ragging in the college.
