Course Curriculum Overview :

Well, Nobody forced me to choose this course, a few staff members did ask me if i wanted to take another course other than Bsc physics hons but I always wanted to take step in physics field and astronomy for further. Every person learns from their own life experiences so the experience that i have according to that i have pretty good preparation for real world applications. The timings for exams are strictly particular and difficulty level of exams is average.

Class Size : 1872Course Fees : INR 50000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees of all the cources is decent, not really too much and not too less as govt colleges or unis. And yes there are scholarships available in this university which students can take advantage of, who are not finacially stable.

Campus Life :

My campus life experiences is good not the best but good i had few friends who help me in my projects and my own search work. There is no student run social groups or any club. Neither is any student of bsc interest in such things so im reliefed of that.

Admission :

Eligibility of the course, where to find application form, application fees, and application dates, details of Reservation Benefits, all the information is provided on the website of dav university jalandhar and is updated by the time, the website is davuniversity.org

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is pretty decent and as far as teaching is concerned, it is better than avgerage. Teachers are friendly and anybody can message or talk face to face for doubts or any other thing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and the faculty member is helpful and kind. in very rear cases faculty members miss their lectures. I do my BSc at this University. In my department faculty-student ratio is 1/25 .all faculty member is doctorates.

Placement Experience:

From the second semester the students opt for the placements. For this they have to pay extra sum beside the course fees. There visits a no. of companies and accordingly they conducts exam and later interviews.

Remarks:

Actually I didn't want to do drop after my class 12th like all students of my class were doing but my parents were suggesting me to take a drop and appear for the medical exam but I didn't want to be a doctor so as an alternative I look for a college and I found IISER Mohali best for that.

Placement Experience:

The only place where IISER Mohali is lagging behind is in terms of placement as IISER Mohali doesn't offer technical courses so direct placements to companies is not possible the only sector in companies where students can go for is Research and Development Department.

Remarks:

IISER Mohali gives you value of money. It's fees as compared to other colleges like engineering colleges is very low and almost every student also get scholarship from KVPY or through Inspire. Approximate tuition fees of year is about 70,000. The most important thing the future of students is safe here and due to all these I choose IISER Mohali.

Placement Experience:

Getting direct placements from a research institute is not an easy task and IISER Mohali administration also does not support it that's why after a lot of efforts from students community still there is no placement cell in the college.

Remarks:

IISER Mohali is one of the best research institute in India and also it is a national importance college. My main motto was to get admission in such a college where my future can be secure and IISER Mohali is best for future safe.

Placement Experience:

IISER MOHALI is a basic science research institute. It doesn't offer any technical courses so direct placements from campus are not there. Students after their 5 year degree do their PhD from some of the best universities across the world. There is no placement cell in the college.

Remarks:

My cousin is already studying in IISER Pune and my dream was also to get admission in IISER Pune but unfortunately IISER Pune was not offered to me and I get IISER Mohali in floating option. IISER Mohali was my 2nd preference after IISER Pune.

Placement Experience:

There is no such placement cell in the college. Students mainly go for pHd in some of the best universities across the world like MIT, Harvard, Yale, University of Cambridge, Max Planck etc _ Some students also go for industries job_

Review about D.A.V. college Jalandhar

Remarks:

Overall the college is se like the other colleges of the town. The only thing which is different is that the college is 102 years old, nothing at all. If you have to just read books and get a degree easily without much effort then this college is the best place for you.
