Course Curriculum Overview

3

As I'm a Bvoc student, our course has a lot of practical sections and in the last semester, there was an internship and project opportunity. There is a good chemical lab and a processing lab with good facilities and equipment. The microbiology lab is in progress, it will be infrastructure soon.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Our course offers a 3-month internship and a 3-month project in the last semester. I was able to complete my project and internship at a food industry in Kochi. It was a good experience to learn about the food industry and I gained a lot of theoretical and practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

3

There are placments offered by the college. Mainly companies like TCS, Deloit, Accenture etc offers placement. There are placement cells which conducts placement camps to improve students with interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships like E-grants but they are only provided for a very few students. The top-class students with higher CGPAs get a scholarship provided by the college. The tution fee for my course was 40 thousand a year but now it is increased.

Campus Life

4.5

Overall campus life was a very good experience for me. I was in a club called CSA which was like a family for me. I gained a lot of friends and also a lot of qualities from the college. I was able to participate in the DZone and Interzone competitions which was a very good experience.

Admission

A student with a science stream and an overall percentage above 75% can apply for the course. The merit seat can be applied through Calicut University application. There are management seats that can be procured. The fees for management seats are double the merit seats which is 75 thousand for a year. The exams and syllabus are simple and also there are practicals within every sem.

Faculty

3

The faculties are good , friendly and well qualified. Even though the faculties in self finance departments are not qualified enough like modt of the faculties are just msc graduates. Overall the faculties are good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very good they provide a job oriented curriculum. This is a tourism and hospitality course so the study us the languages like frunch, German etc. So it is very helpful for our future because all the time the travelers are foreigners and the curriculum gives us to communicate with them fluently so that they provide us to study forieng language. I have only one suggestion that they provide a communication session with the foreigners that will help us to improve our language

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum had so many unnecessary subjects that had no connection with our courses like psychology, zoology etc. They could have avoided that. Jewellery Designing students also had to study advanced minerology . Which in my opinion was a bit unnecessary. Apart from that i learnt to improve my drawing and rendering skills. Learnt about new types and also the history of jewellery Designing. Tools and Machinery used.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Usually, in our coarse, we follow updated curriculum about food processing technology. We do also have food analysis on our practical classes 3 days per week. I have chosen this coarse because I believe that food processing technology era is growing drastically and we can see lots of opportunities in the same field itself. Improvement can be made in the curriculum, so that they can also include food laws , importance of food in india and world wide so that students will get to know more about the syllabus and food processing technology. The frequency of timing that we get inbetween the semester exams is about 4-5 months which is pretty enough to cover all the portions that they have taken and we can calmly prepare for our end semester and exams very well.
