The underrated NIET

Dislikes

  • The classrooms are not air-conditioned at all.
  • They will prioritize your studies more than anything, no matter if you're a leader of any club or anything.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is designed and modified every year so they can provide the students with the knowledge in emerging fileds resulting in betterment of the fute of the students. The conduct regular workshops, tests, seminars and webinars to give students the insight of whats happening around in their professional fields.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship opportunities are provided by the college to help students gain closure and experience in their respective fields. NIET is very focused on good future opportunities for the students and they don't compromise with it. They encourage students to make projects and also provide the platforms to deserving students to let them shine.

Placement Experience :

Many good companies visit NIET during the recruitment drive, specially the ones that are core based in mechanics and electronics giving students great opportunities and choices to choose. NIET also helps the students in preparing for the interviews by conducting communication classes which also helps you improve confidence levels and showcase your knowledge to its best.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college fees is around 1,75,000 Rs. for the first year and 1,65,000 for the remaining three years. They also provide scholarships to students who belong from EWS and Fee waiving to those with good JEE rank.

Campus Life :

As I mentioned before, NIET doesnt really conduct many fests, There are mainly 3-4 fests Jagmag, Prithvi and then edicational fests that encourage competitive coding contests and many more! Contrary to that, the social life in NIET is actually pretty good because they still conduct regular activities giving students great memories.

Hostel Facilities :

I won't recommend opting for campus hostel specially if you're a girl as they don't treat girls as students but more as hostage. The rules are quite strict for girl students as you can't go out of the campus after 6:30 in the evening, anything you do will be reported to your parents by the warden as the wardens are very nosy. about food, the food is pretty average. They are phenomenal at cooking certain dishes such as chole chawal, they're top tier.

Admission :

You can just visit NIET main campus and regiser there for admission, there are many counsellors to help you through the process and also tell you about the opportunities the college provides. The admission process is overall easy and you can even opt for counselling process instead of direct admission if you're not eligible for the branch you want to get in.

Faculty :

Th faculties are very interactive and good at what they are teaching. Most of all, They enjoy teaching, resulting in a positive impact on students' mind. They are not merely teachers but also mentors who guide students through every problem they are facing. NIET also provides you with a therapist whom you can talk to about anything and they will help you deal with anything youre facing.

Interview Experience :

I did face an interview by the counsellor before she proceeded further with the registration. It was pretty straight forward so you don't really have to worry about anything as such. The procedure is very easy and hassle-free.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students can start getting placement if they had done an internship with any company. Otherwise, in the 7th and 8th semesters, most of the students get the placement. Many renowned companies come and offer jobs in college. About 70 percent of the students get the placement.

Placement Experience:

More specifically if I am talking about placement is that if you want to get good placements in dei that you must maintain your sgpa at least 8 points for you to appear in the placement cell. There are many companies visited in college like torrent power for electrical branch and other for their respective branches. Around 60% of students get their placements through college and it also depends on students' ability and skills. Since I am in the 4th semester so yes from 3rd year students get their training or internship through college to students with good grades. So you must have to maintain at least 8 sgpa for better placements.

The placements of the college have been great so far. All the major companies and tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, DELL, etc came for placements this year. The average package this year for BTECH students was 8.6 lakhs per annum. Also, the highest package so far has been 44 lakhs p.a. Almost all students are placed with good packages so it is an ideal choice to choose Bennett University for higher education.

Placements are good in GCET, Although they vary from time to time. For placements, students are eligible from the 7th Sem. Companies like Direct-I, Samsung, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, etc. all visited the campus. The highest package I now am 21LPA buy it can be more. And except recession 60-70%, people are placed. Rest it all depends on students as well.
