Brief review of JSS college

Dislikes

  • The mess food is at par, not very likely and the schedule of food is monotonous
  • Exposure to extra curricular is not a regular practice and the cultural fests are not given much importance

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose to do btech in CSE because I had an interest in computers since intermediate and considering the demands of skilled software engineers. Exams are conducted twice a year as semister and monthly tests are held to test the knowledge.

Placement Experience :

The college placement are up to the mark according to the tier three college but in the recent past it has lowered a bit due to the recession which everyone has faced recently, and elsewhat we always have the chance to apply for off campus placement

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is decent considering the annual fees of other institutions and the fees of my college are about 149000 per year. Scholarships are given on the basis of financial status and caste status by the government and those forms can be filled

Campus Life :

It has been more than a semester in this college and by now I can clearly tell that the tech societies are decent but only a few cultural societies do some serious business like Illuminati and verve, the campus is good spacious and green

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel is very good and is above the mark , the rooms are very well maintained and the bathrooms are also regularly kept clean and hygiene is taken care of , the mess is also ok ok , there is a table tennis in the hostel itself

Admission :

I gave Jee mains exams and the cutoff for general students in my course was 93 percentile, admission was held by the governing body AKTU but the admission process was not so smooth as it took a while day long in physical report

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is a decent number , wherein there is approximately a teacher for every 30 students, you may consider that average occupancy of a class is about 70 students . The faculty is well qualified to make future engineers .

Placement Experience:

More specifically if I am talking about placement is that if you want to get good placements in dei that you must maintain your sgpa at least 8 points for you to appear in the placement cell. There are many companies visited in college like torrent power for electrical branch and other for their respective branches. Around 60% of students get their placements through college and it also depends on students' ability and skills. Since I am in the 4th semester so yes from 3rd year students get their training or internship through college to students with good grades. So you must have to maintain at least 8 sgpa for better placements.
