- Campus is well established , spread in 47 acres and is well planned having almost all aminites in it
- Hostels have 1gbps lan connectivity as well as good wifi all over the campus
Dislikes
- Loaction is not good, located in Jais , Amethi which is not a prime location for such a college.
- Due to location companies tend to visit less.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is B.tech in Mathematics and Computing which packs modern computer science needs with mathematical approach . This course is well welcomed not only in IT industry but banking industry as well. The curriculum invlolved tremendous mathematics as well as computer sciences which is a very powerful combination in todays industry. We have 2 main exams in a semester of 6 months which are Midsem (30 marks ) and Endsem(60 marks) and 10 marks for assignments and lab work. These exams are rather difficult to attempt as it is a difficult course to pursue and also due to very compititive nature of JEE Advanced qualified students and relative marking it is hard to achieve good grades unless you study too well.
Internships Opportunities :
There are various intern opportunities in our college such as ONGC, HMEL etc. And also we can work in our own college labs on Sponsored projects. Our college have DIC projects on which we have to work and upon inspection we will get 15000 INR and recognized certificate to complete those projects .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees is constant every year i.e. 100000 per semester(6 months) The complete cost of 4 year btech in RGIPT including all necessary expenses is nearly 1200000 INR. We accept various state scholarship as well as MCM scholarship i.e. Merit cum Means , this us awarded to the most excellent students of their branches, in this the student have a fee wavier of 25000 per semester. There are lot of internship and project opportunites for student within the campus in which they can earn knowledge as well as money.
Campus Life :
We have 4 major fests Energia (Sports fest) and Kaltarang (Cultural fest) both are organized in even semester , Urjotsav (Tech fest) and Pratidhwani (Freshers Welcome) organized in odd semester. The library is not that big but have all the book one needs , we can issue at max two books for 1 week after which we have to reissue it . All the classrooms are well equipped with centralized A.C. systems , projectors , large whitebords , computer , speaker system, fire alarm with water showers. Sports are great except badminton as it is not indoor and we face lot of difficulties playing it , other wise we have volleyball court ,indoor sports such as snooker , table tennis , chess , carrom , lawn tennis , basketball court , football ground , cricket ground , kho kho ground. There are a lot of clubs such as sports club , music club , film and media club , music club , also there are lot of student chapters such as IEEE , GFG , GDSC , EAGE , AAPG, IICHE ,AICHE etc.
Hostel Facilities :
We have hostels within the campus , outside the campus there are not PG's. The rooms have 2 seating capacity , prefunished with big table with shelf , chair , bed , almirah and big windows, we also have one ceiling fan 2 long led tube lights and 2 fast lan ports. Meal provied in the mess is decent not that great but breakfasts are very good. There is no such seperate regestration for hostels as those are provided upon admission, hostels are affordable as they cost 7500 per semester.
Admission :
The course is eligible for JEE Advanced qualified candidates(must have 60% in CBSE 12th boards exam),if seats may remain vacant then they can be filled on the basis of JEE Mains(must have 80% in CBSE 12th boards exam). In order to get admission one have to apply for seperate counselling by filling regestration form available on the college website. For my course the closing cutoff was nearly 26000 in JEE Advanced for General Male. JEE Advanced occurs once in an year and it is quite difficult to crack. The admission process is smooth.
Faculty :
the faculty-to-student ratio is 1:20 which is very good as faculty can give importance to each student. Faculty is very well qualified with Phd's from old IITs such as IIT Bombay , IIT Delhi and foreign universities also. Most of the faculties teaches with great passion. We can easily meet our faculties in case of any difficulty in the course by directly going in their cabin situated within the campus.
