Around 125 acres of campus with good infrastructure , good class rooms , labs , libraries ,etc
Our college gives equal importance to academics as well as cociricullar activites whether it is sport or any other clubs

Dislikes

Class needs to be improved as it doesnot contains projectors on all classes
The locality is full of street dogs which are of no harm but obviously it creates a bad impression

Course Curriculum Overview :

Mechanical engineering is considered as the base of any technology happening in any industry The technology is also changing day by day in all aspects of life I one end semester examination . Continuous evaluation includes attendance and submission of assignments and tutorials Difficulty level is pretty much hard

Class Size : 58Course Fees : INR 14000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internships provided by the college is very less as compared to placements , eventhough inters are hired by companies for technical support . Some of the companies which hired interns are Alstom , L&T , etc

Placement Experience :

Placements in our starts during the starting of seventh semesters and continues till the year ends TCS had come with around 10 offers MRF had come with 3 offers Alstom had come with 10 offers Etc The highest package is around 15lakhs per annum And the average salary package is around 6-7lakhs per annum Around half of the students in our colleges are getting placed

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since it is a government aided college , the fee structure is same as that of the government engineering college ie, around 14000 including pta fund per year Scholarships like e-grantz are available for students with less income ( under 400000 per year ) Other scholarships are also available for reserved categories

Campus Life :

The technical festival of our college is dyuksha which happened in last year which involves competitions in various sports events , technical workshops , hackathons , games , proshow with famous celebrities There are mainly two libraries one is the general library and there are department libraries which is more specialised for department journals and materials which consist of RK BANSAL , PK NAG, RS KHURUMI ,etc General library has magazines , reference materials etc

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel room is mainly sharing , sometimes two sharing or sometimes three sharing Room consist of bed study table for each a common wardrobe , fan ,light and charging socket Food provided in the hostel is pretty good , healthwise and financially ,they ensures proper hygeine . Menu includes 3 days non veg There are many private hostels and PGs where they can accomodate , fee is pretty much same throughout

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

To get an admission in NSSCE you have to clear you plustwo exams with more than 60% (PCM) Then you have to apply for keam entrance exam For mechanical engineering your rank has to be inside 14k for general categories and it may vary according to the reservations Keam entrance exam is quite simple as compared to jee and neet so if you prepared for jee you can simply crack keam

Faculty :

The student faculty relation is pretty much good here , we can interact with them very friendly and some of our faculties are the head of some clubs We can approach them if we have any doubts regarding the topic taught in class We can visit their staffroom which every student can avail

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
