Course Curriculum Overview :

Papers in the curriculum like international relations and India's foreign policy are so much relevant in the real world and knowing about the politics happening in the world helps in understanding the situations. The improvement can be done in the settings of the question papers as they got repeated every year, new set of questions should be given which should be relevant in the nature. Timing of exams is 3 hours and that's enough but you need to write around 8 to 10 pages for one que.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship fairs happen in college every year where big companies come and take interviews of the students. Also the placement cell of the college helps in giving internship to the students. Internship with stipend of around 15000 are given to the students and it differ from company to company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee of the course is approx 35000 for 3 years but now it has been increased because of the course has turned for 4 years and papers are increased. It's the government college so no other charges are taken only the examination fee is taken. College have placement cell which helps in providing internships and also internship fairs happens in college time to time.

Campus Life :

Fests of the departments and the whole college happen every year. All books and journals are available in the library and are in good condition to study and good place to study. Sports day ,annual function different societies of dance, poetry, debate, painting, photography etc are tgere in college which are good for the extra curricular activities and also our college have NCC.

Admission :

Admission process was through merit at my time of admission. I got admission through the extra curricular activities (ECA) quota. Admission process is not so toughnow only you have to give CUET and register yourself to CSAS portal of Delhi University to get admission here.

Faculty :

Faculty of political science department is good and have great experience. teachers are friendly in nature and helps a lot in the real life situations too. Faculty to student ratio is around 1: 40 which is fine.

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Placement cells do not provide placements to English graduates. Only a few companies came to hire English graduates. I'm planning to do a master's or B.Ed to secure a career in teaching after my graduation.

6th-semester students are eligible to apply for campus placements. Companies like Bains and Co., KPMG, etc visit our college. Some are known and some unknown. I did not participate in campus placements as I decided to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body. The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.

Placement Experience:

Our college has JEET placement Cell. JEET provides weekly updates on new internships. There are too many opportunities. However my course, Psychology doesn't have placement opportunities as such as Psychology is a complex field that has yet to be Specified in Masters.
