Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is decided by IKGPTU as this college is affiliated to PTU and the overall structure of PTU is very average and doesn't have enough course material according to real world problems.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are very good for technical courses as well as other courses but the salary offered for freshers are quit low. The average package I would say is 4-5 LPA for Engineering students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees generally doesn't increase any further other than during the admission. Also the hostel charges increases according to need and facility of students. Different Scholarships are available students and also the placement opportunities are available for students.
Campus Life :
The college organises 2 fests every year one is Parichay which is the fresher fest and the other one is Spontania which is the annual fest. There is a Google developer student club also. the college organises multiple guest lecture, expert talks etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility is average for boys and not very good for girls as there is very strictness. The message food is very average no new dishes. Same boring mess food we all know. Hostel are easily available for freshers. For rented rooms or apartment outside there are two locations Jhansla and Banur which are the towns nearby and rooms or PG are available at affordable prices.
Admission :
Eligibility of course varies as I admitted here just on the basis of 12th examination. One can directly contact the counselor via the college website. There are no reservations as such. Everyone has equal opportunity. There are generally 2 mid sem exams which are pretty easy and added to your internals.
Faculty :
Teachers in SVGOI are very good and friendly. Most of the teachers here are the ones who started their career recently and are very happy to share their knowledge. Faculty to students ratio in b.tech is often 1:60 but for other courses the ratio will be somewhere 1:20.
