About NINE
National Institute of Nursing Education is located in Chandigarh and was set up in the year 1960. The institute is a centre of excellence which endeavours to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempts to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine. The specialists that are trained by the institute are spread out in the country in various medical colleges and medical institutions and impart medical education of highest standard to the students and set up nucleus of excellence in their own institutions. The institute offers graduate and post graduate level degree courses in the field of nursing. The National Institute of Nursing Education was established with the objective to broaden the horizons of medical knowledge by intensive research in the field of health. It has attained self-sufficiency in postgraduate medical education and meets the country’s need for highly qualified medical teachers in all medical and surgical disciplines.

The strict rules of our college. in the starting it was tough to adjust but slowly it's been a routine now.

Our college is very good located in very prime location. We get student health facility when we are ill at Nehru Hospital. PGIMER has a central library and even NINE has its own library with various journals,books and research papers. Training for students and teachers is provided by Visakha program.

With a NEET score of 198, it is difficult to secure a seat in a government nursing college. The NEET cutoff for government nursing seats is much higher for general category students, often exceeding 450-500 marks, depending on the state and competition level.
Are bsc nursing or gnm available?
NINE Chandigarh offers B.Sc. Nursing course to the students. But it does not offer GNM (General Nursing and Mid Wifery) course to the students.
You can get admission to NINE Chandigarh B.Sc. Nursing on the basis of merit marks secured in the previous qualifying examination. The eligibility is to complete HSC with PCB and English subjects.
