  • Mess food needs to be improved along with drinking water facilities.
  • There needs to be a separate set of medical leaves apart from that 25% of exception in attendance.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is 100% relevant with the degree and each subject has utmost importance in the field. Teachers explain topics with the help of real life experiences as well and examinations are conducted frequently. 3 sets of internal examination and 1 term-end examination is there and the session plan along with exam dates are provided to students in a handbook during the semester start.

Internships Opportunities :

Our college provides with internships every semester end. Sometimes location preference is given but not always. Personally I do not apply in college since if I get internship in a place which is far from home then finding a living place for a month only would be very difficult as our college doesn't provide with that. Tasks depend on the supervisor. Interns do various different tasks if they come in a different time. So it depends.

Placement Experience :

Personally the placements are really good but I am not sure about the salary package since I'm a 2nd year student. But my plans after the degree would be taking up the placement offer for 5 years and then moving on with an LLM degree abroad and applying for litigation.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Well the fee structure is quite reasonable after looking at the facilities it provides such as gym, sports, library, laundry etc. safety and security of every student is also taken care of. Placements are quite good with a good package although no stipend is provided after internships. It is not mandatory to take internship from college, we can also do our own internship at our own comfort place as long as there is a certificate provided. Scholarships are also given based on 12th boards marks and sports scholarships.

Campus Life :

The campus life is appreciable, the institute try to make campus life as enjoyable as possible. There is a gym, a sports complex and a library service available to us from morning to night till a certain time period. There are various clubs in the institute run by students and supervised by faculty incharges.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is amazing but the hostel mess food needs to be improved. The price of hostel rooms is quite justifiable as they are AC rooms with all sorts of furnitures which are required for daily use. The hostel mess menu is fixed for the week and there are changes only under unavoidable circumstances.

Admission :

The entrance exam was quite easy, students were allowed to appear for both the examinations if they like and think that they could do better. After the entrance exam there is a WAT around where a student requires to write an essay on a particular topic given. After qualifying both the rounds, the student is asked to give personal interview where the questions are basically based on the documents you've submitted and the course which you took in 11th and 12th and also why you're choosing that particular degree. The process is quite simple and justifiable. The difficulty level depends upon the student itself. Application form and other details are available in the siu website.

Faculty :

The faculty does a really good job. They take 1:1 doubts and clear them out with priority, no biased choices are there. They address each and every question with utmost importance and most importantly they provide us with time to clear doubts if it arises after the lecture is done. The faculty has enough knowledge about their particular subjects and make learning interesting with various group discussions, debates and many other things. Teachers are available to clear doubts anytime during working hours.

Interview Experience :

There was personal interview after two rounds. Mainly I was asked why I wanted to take up the particular course and what are my future goals after getting the degree. I was also asked about my class 11 and 12 course and some questions relating to these subjects. I did not prepare anything specifically I was just true to the interviewers about my view points.

From 5th year students become eligible for campus placements. Around 25-40 percent students get placed every year from each batch. Teir 1 firms like Khaitan, Trilegal, LKS, AzB and partners etc and other local firms of Pune come to our college. Banking institutions like ICICI also provide placement to our students. Average package is around 8-9 lac per annum and highest package is around 16 lac per annum.

Placement Experience:

Placement is also too good in ILS about 70-80% students got placed, who opts for it. Students from their 8th semester are eligible for placements. But, the college placement cell provides a lot of internship opportunities to the students from their 1st and 2nd year itself. Major Companies and Firms that visit in ILS includes, AZB Legal, Khaitan & Co. Trilegal, etc. Talking about highest package, it is of 19.5 lpa with average package of about 9-12 lpa. I wanted to go for judiciary aftet my college. But, I will also give a try in placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is the harsh reality not only of this college but any law college that you'd take admission in ( NLUs are excluded). Course curriculum is formulated in such a manner that it lacks knowledge of practical world . What you learn in college, most of them may not even be relevant when applying in the real ground . So I'd advice you to focus on course curriculum just to score good in exams . Rest focus on getting internships as much as possible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is average and outdated in that teachers teach for the sake of completion of the syllabus, the college is very well-reputed in the city but the college lacks discipline and accountability, teachers seem qualified but undisciplined, the faculty-student ratio is 1:26 which is really bad no healthy teacher-student interaction is there.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good there are 6 to 7 students who have got PPOs in their 4th year itself. All the famous law firms come to our college, the advantage we have over the other colleges is our location, as our college is based in a prime area of Mumbai, so all the famous law firms' offices are quite nearby. Maybe around 80 percent of students get placed by the end of 5th year, and our placement cell is also very efficient and works very hard for the students.

Education is good here. There is a sufficient number of faculties present here. Most of the faculties have their Ph.D. done. Other faculties have at least a Master's done. Usually, class teaching is preferred with law books and the help of case laws.

I choose the BA LLB course for my career. The quality of teachers is very good to expect some teachers, but Christ University takes care of faculty quality teaching. . Every 2 months one term exam. The difficulty of passing an exam depends on your studying.
