75% attendance is not mandatory, there's only fine for attendance which is very minimal. You can easily study for you extra courses ans take coachings because there's no pressure for attendance.
There's student council and annual college fests. Odd semester has elections in the beginning. College atmosphere is very happening during those days. And college fest is very fun and a grand event.

Semester is hardly for 2 months. Nobody takes classes seriously

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is designed by Punjab university. Syllabus is completely relevant with the course. It includes both theory and practical syllabus. Syllabus is up to the mark but the student should decide before hand because it's chemistry, zoology and botany, it's not easy at all. Exams occur at the end of every semester. Chemistry has 3 parts and 3 exams for 22 marks each. Zoology and botany both have 2 divisions and exam is set for 36 marks of each subject. All exams are scheduled for 3 hours.

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 27000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No campus employment. Fees is annual about 27-28 thousand. Additional fees includes examination fees for every semester which is 2900? . If any supplementary exam additional examination fees for the same amount is charged. Annual fines are also to be paid which are different for every student according to attendance and some other criteria

Campus Life :

The college has various clubs for various students and various interests. From dance, modelling clubs to art clubs to Rotaract club to education and business learning clubs and photography clubs, this college offers clubs for student of every interest. Also there is huge diversity in culture here, students from various regions can be seen here.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel has both ac and non ac rooms. Ac rooms are shared by 3 people, while non ac rooms have 2 and are smaller. Hostel has 3 buildings, common washrooms on every floor, balconies etc. Mess opens on timings, food is not very good but not that bad too. Hostel registration is done during admission itself. Affordability wise it's not very affordable and definitely does not provides facilities according to price.

Hostel Fee : INR 110000 per year

Admission :

Admission is BSc for this college is easy. Admissions through Punjab university entrance test and DHE Chandigarh both are available. In some cases you can also directly apply through college website. Counseling occurs and you are expected to show up at college on that day.

Faculty :

Faculty is very good. All professors are PhD. There are many teachers for each subject. Teachers are helpful and available every time for students. Teachers can be contacted through phone Or you can meet them in college or after class hours in staff rooms. Faculty is understanding and nice.

Honest review about postgraduate government college sector 11

Placement Experience:

In postgraduate government college sector 11 all the students that are in final year are eligible for campus placements. And if you are a BSC biotechnologu honours student, then you do get internships after your second year in various hospitals around Chandigarh, but for non honours students The placements are not that much impressive.In 2024, the placements that were introduced for the final year.Students especially for the science students were not very interesting and not very much oriented according to the course. If it's to be concluded Then the placements provided our average the amount of students getting placements is less.

Uneveling my campus experience (Chandigarh University)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am from science background so biotechnology at that is very fascinating term so that's how i choose that but later on due to the content and teaching behaviour i liked it very much. Biotechnology is something that is now plays important role in healthcare and new drug development process so that's how i like it and i got job later by this course in healthcare market research company. Nothing like improvement from my end only need to improve genetics subject curriculum. We get little time between exams like there is mst exams 2 times and 1 final exams held in one semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course was not far above as expected it was from old education policy I literally hate zoology not interest in practical zoology because it was like just seeing slides but chemistry and industrial microbiology lab and syllabus were cool. Zoology subjects implemented should be changed for future development skills like apiculture farming etc which can be better for the future
