Engineering Life @ Government Engineering College, Ajmer

Dislikes

  • Bad Classrooms: the infrastructure of college is good but still it's not very very good in terms of being a modern college just as like some projector works some don't etc.
  • Bad Management: even though it's not totally college fault but sometimes the things get Messy because of how unproper the schedule is for end sem exams set by University

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is actually pretty great but still I'd say they need to change it after time to time They still teach 8085 as microprocessor and not more than that Also the syllabus should get changed and a little bit according to the trend and some extra subjects should be changed in place of old subjects

Placement Experience :

There's a whole placement cell in the college which also helps in summer training for students They help in enhancing skills and training students for interview and placement exams Placement is around 4.5 lakhs of average package and 11 lakhs of Best package for last year Not so good but still better than nothing

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are some scholarship available here for scholar Students and as well as students who are in need of scholarship All of them are government given scholarship for college education As well as campus employment opportunity are good too

Campus Life :

Campus life here is good everyone is friendly with no Ragging and Intro scene from seniors Also there should be a hostel for boys which is available for girls but not for boys in the college There's a ground for cricket and also for volleyball here Also the library here is vast containing all sorts of books of academics and other education too And there are alot of clubs for cultural activities and sports and coding and other development

Admission :

This is done after the exam of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced Through the process of REAP full formed rajasthan engineering admission process They get selected on the basis of jee mains and rank Also there's whole separate selection process Reservation benefits are same as JEE mains

Faculty :

Faculties here are very good generally good hearted and good speaking as well as everyone is well educated and teaches good I'd say the best thing about this college is faculties and how they interact with students The way of teaching and testing as well as making students learn with practical knowledge is really really good

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food is a vast subject and people will not stop eating, so the scope of food technology is just amazing. The college has its own faculty for different subjects. This btech course is of 4 years ie 8 semesters. Each semester has midterms and final semester exams. Last semester is for an internship. Midterms are of 20 marks, practical of 30 marks and final semester theory exams of 50 marks, so passing the exam is damn easy. Regular classes with good faculties make this course easy.
