Likes

The professors of my department are very cooperative.They support you in academics even if you are not attending classes due to any extracurricular activity.

Dislikes

The college has no hostel facility which make it feels like a school...... People come ,attend classes and go back to home ....one more thing majority of the crowd is from Delhi only so they don't stay after college

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very much similar to that of BTech computer science engineering.... The curriculum teaches you the fundamentals of computer science....it prepares you for the job as well as the higher studies... I think the curriculum is decent but there should be a change in the teaching approach.... Curriculum should add some real life projects so that it helps students to prepare for industry. The exam timings are ok.... And talking about the difficulty sometimes they give you questions which were out of syllabus that thing needs to change

Internships Opportunities

There are no good internships offered in our college..... Few roles are offered in the marketing, finance department and the usual stipend is 8k-10k I think placement cell should work in this to bring internships in the tech roles as well

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is quite high in my case because it's a self finance course even after they raise 1000-1500 rupees every year The complete cost will be 60000 including tution fee exam fee etc. There are few scholarships and book aids available and also scholarships are available for meritorious students as well the maximum you get is rs 4000 I haven't done any internship yet .... The college offered very few internships that too in other fields except technology

Campus Life

The annual fest at arsd is tide it happens every year in the month of March.... The technical fest is sanganak vimarsha it also happens in March The classrooms have the projectors as well and we have computer labs as well but few of the labs are not updated with the technology used Sports event happens annually.... If you are good enough you can be selected for the college team Other than that we have debating clubs in which competitions are held We have social groups such as Enactus,NSS they are students led groups they work for social welfare

Admission

Maths till class 12 is compulsory You have to fill the application through the csas portal of delhi university where in your have fill your preferences and then the course is alloted to you accordingly The exam timings are decent..... Sometimes they give you questions which are out of syllabus that is quite disappointing I think they should reveal the cutoffs according to the categories so that it's easy for someone to take admission

Faculty members are qualified they have been,most of them are teaching in this college from the past 10+ years ..... Most of them have completed their PhD from Delhi University...... They can guide you for your future like if you want to give any competitive exams for jobs or for higher studies..... They help you apart from the academics by giving some really helpful insights

The real college experience

Placement Experience:

Gargi, like most other delhi colleges, has a standard placement cell. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards, but most requirements happen during the final year. The companies that visit are primarily ed tech based ventures or marketing, HR firms and sales firms. A few that have collaborated over the year has been EY, Decathlon, Urban Company, Deloitte and so on. in terms of packages, the highest that had been around 15-17lpa, and the average package is 4-5lpa. About 20-30% of the batch gets placed during placement interviews while many try to pursue other opportunities or off-campus venues.

ANDC= The most average old school type campus life

as the everyone know for computer science b tech is the best course but there is to much rush for b tech and i dont want to waste my college life or campus life on engenerring degree which dont give me placements thats why i choose for bsc hons cs in du to enjoy the campus life. if you study well in this course it will definately help vo in job interview making your resume good and skills better. the teaching method should be more practical than doing on notebooks or oraly. the datesheet and timings of exams are preety good and the difficulty of exam are moderate the ones who prepares will definately score good marks and can maintain better cgpa.

Good for science courses but infrastructure and surrounding area is not good

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are average. There is a placement cell in our college that is mostly run by students only. Average placement package is 3 to 4 LPA. Companies like Wipro, TCS that visits our college for placements. 5 and 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. 60 to 100 students per year get placements.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.

So I didn't really apply to any of the colleges I filled the preference sheet in the csas portal and I got selected in this college. I chose this college because it was very convenient for me, not that far and not that close from my house. No I didn't get any rejection from any other colleges. The admission process for my college is through CUET conducted by NTA, The eligibility for my course is atleast 45% in 10+2 and the exam accepted for my course is CUET only. CUET is the exam mostly preferred by the students, cutoffs for this exam for my course was 650 for general and around 550 for my category. I was made to prepare a list of colleges that provided the course that I opted for. So I made a list of all thr college in accordance to my convenience and what I wished to get into. My first priority was obviously a north campus college such as hindu college, kirori mal, hansraj and likewise. Then I proceeded to add the rest of the topmost colleges that came under south campus. ARSD Emerging College of South Campus (NIRF 7)

To get admission into ARSD College or any other college in the University of Delhi you should have an aggregate of 60% at least. 12th appearing or 12th pass. You have to give CUET (Central University Entrance Test) and score as high as you can. Application fees for General, OBC, and EWS candidates are RS 600. For ST, SC RS 550. For applying last date will be the first week of march and the exam will be conducted in the last week of May. It may vary. Delhi University Releases its cut-off based on CUET Scores for various colleges. I availed reservation of OBC NCL which is 27% of seats. My score of CUET was 609 and I got ARSD College.
