Course Curriculum Overview :

The atmosphere and senior junior interaction will help you to get excellent placement . College curriculum and labs are made for real word problem solving . The exam frequency is very high . No attendence rule .

Internships Opportunities :

Intership opportunity is very good here , because the college is 10th in engineering among India . Students here goes for Amazon , Microsoft for internship . Students here are very enthusiastic . Oracle , Gupshup and many high package companies comes and gives intership and PPOs .

Placement Experience :

You will definitely get placed by college placement here . If by chance not , you can qualify GATE and do further studies . Many students do MBA after completing the course . The gate qwalifing students are in high number here . Many students go for PSU or M.Tech in IIT or IISC or ISI from here.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Here is many number of scholership you can get . SVMCM West Bengal provides you 60,000/- annually . Fees for 4 year Bachelor of Engineering course costs arround 10,500/- overall . You can also get it back by scholarship .

Campus Life :

The campus has excellent cultural impostance here . Students are very open minded and have progressive thoughts . It theaches you to think about the society very rationally . Drama , photography , singing clubs are very good in that . But this is not the thing that if you are in club , then you are good in that .

Admission :

This is Bestest University among West Bengal and top 5 among India . You can get admission in Engineering via WBJEE entrance , which cutoff goes arround 6000 rank among 90,000 students . Home state quota valid here . There are 10% seats are for other States for engineering .

Faculty :

Faculty is very friendly , good research atmosphere . You can mail , call , interact with faculty whenever you want . They will help you to get excellent project work . You just to have enthusiat about that field.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.

talking about few things. the quality of teaching delivered, educational technology available, facility provided at campus, placement records, location of the college, living environment around college. none of these are suitable or habitable. I may surely not advise anyone to get admitted in this college.
