What Students Say
Likes
- I really like my college for the fact that it is a girl's college. Plus the faculty is really helpful and supportive.
- The workers, uncle and aunties are really nice. The guard aunty and bhaiya are really cool and nice.
- The garden area is what I like about the infrastructure of my college. It is really comfortable sitting there doing whatever one likes.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure could be improved, there is construction happening and I hope the new academic block turns out good.
- The canteen food is not so much to my liking, it'll be really nice if they improve and also lower their prices.
- Sports facilities are very negligible, they don't allow us to use the gym.
Course Curriculum Overview
I enjoy studying all my core subjects and Vac, Sec subjects. I feel they add a lot more to my knowledge, also maybe as my core subjects I've very different subjects than what I've learnt in my schooling years, Philosophy and Psychology. These are really interesting and open a way to my knowledge and better understanding of the world and individuals living in it. The curriculum can be improved in a sense that they can reduce the number of hours for vac and sec subjects... And also if there can be a free choice to choose ge and aec subjects, this would be such a nice change for all the program students, B. A. or B. Com.
Internships Opportunities
The college placement cell conducts internship fairs that are really nice. Many companies and start-ups and NGO's do come. I also got an opportunity as a marketing intern at Datsme - a social wellness app through the same fair and also joined hands with an Ngo called Pehchaan: The street school working for the underprivileged children.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is okay tbh, as compared to other colleges or Universities. But for my course and college, B.A. (P) Philosophy + Psychology, I wish it could be a little less. They do provide assistance, financial aids, they're various schemes.
Campus Life
The best fest any college this year in North Campus had was of Daulat Ram College, personally what I believe. Plus overall throughout the year there is one or the departmental fest or club/society fest going on. The societies are okay but some are really toxic, like fashion and dance ones. The library is nice they have course books, I haven't checked other books.
Admission
I found all that very easy, not such a hassle for me. Just what one needed was clear understanding of all those things and proper research and one was good to go. The eligibility criteria is great for most of the courses what they asked was Eng and other core subjects studied in class 12th.
Faculty
I really like going to college and attending all the classes since the professors are brilliant here. They genuinely have a knowledge about the subject they're teaching. Although their can be some language barrier because not just students but also teachers come from across the country. But this doesn't undermine the fact that they leave any stone unturned in their methods of teaching. They use various approaches to make us understand any topic. They are also available in college whenever one needs to clear their doubts. Over all, I really like my college and the DU experience here.
