- The campus is so nature friendly that everyone will love it. There are lot of rocks, lakes, open air spaces to chill and it makes this campus more interesting.
- The academics here is very strict and therefore provides you with lot of opportunities to explore the subject. Especially, for research this university is the best.
Dislikes
- The mess food. It's mostly south indian and therefore very difficult for a north indian guy to manage. But once you manage it will be alright.
- The lack of public transport in the city. Everybody has to depend on Ola Uber if they want to go out of the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is interdisciplinary and gives knowledge about different subjects. For further academic pursuits, it prepares you very well. It can be more multidisciplinary. The frequency and timing of exams are all alright.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is no specific rate of hike. But in the last three years, they have increased the fees by 500. So it's almost 5000 per semester. In total, it's 25,000 per semester including food charges. One scholarship for master's students: 1000 per month. For PhD if you JRF then it's done or you will get 8,000 per month. There are good placements.
Campus Life :
The name of the big annual fest is Sukoon. But there are many other cultural fests that happen during the whole year. Liberation is very rich. The online database is also so big. Classrooms have projectors and speakers and screens. Sports infra is so well maintained and huge. Many social groups and clubs are here including reading circles.
Hostel Facilities :
You will get one cupboard, one table, one cot, and one chair in your room. Students run the mess so the quality depends on the students only. You will get the hostel on the same day of admission. You can just walk into your room after admission. It's super smooth. I did not rent a room or PG. And I won't advice anybody to do that because it's so costly out there.
Admission :
One has to complete a master's in social sciences with 55% marks. It's all through CUET now. All the reservation policies are strictly implemented. Every four months. It can be smoother. Like they can introduce an offline system.
Faculty :
The faculty-to-student ratio is very high. There is one faculty on every 50 students. Most of the faculties have done their PhDs from foreign universities and they are highly qualified. One can interact with teachers as much as they want, but it should be about academics.
